Dr. Daniel Ibarrondo, is a higher education leader and educator, specializing in academic programs, online education, faculty professional development, and external funding. ith a major in Political Science and a minor in Puerto Rican Studies; Doctorate in Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree in Bilingual/Bicultural Education from Seton Hall University; and a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) degree in Learning and Educational Technologies from Pepperdine University. He is a member of Harvard University – Institute of Education Management Class of 2005. Upon graduation from law school, Dr. Ibarrondo was awarded the Dale S. Margulies Award for Leadership in the Law School and the community, the Legal Methods Award, and an American Bar Association Journalism award. He served as Director of the Community Organization Legal Assistance Project (COLA), providing legal assistance to community-based organizations. The COLA project was a community initiative founded by the National Conference of Black Lawyers (NCBL). He served as a Law Associate with Jeff L. Greenup & Associates, DelValle & Zayas, and Richard R. Zayas & Associates in their respective litigation, corporations, personal injury, family, and civil practice areas. During this period, Dr. Ibarrondo also taught U.S. government, international relations, and political science courses at the University of Puerto Rico (Mayaguez), Caribbean University, InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico (San German), Cambridge College Global, Quincy College, American University (Cambodia), Brooklyn College, Mercy College, and Dowling College. Dr. Ibarrondo served as the Associate Dean of Extension Centers position at Mercy College. He was responsible for six extension center partnerships between Mercy College and the New York City Board of Education. He subsequently served as Director of Professional Studies at Pratt Institute in New York City, Special Assistant to the Chancellor for International and External Affairs at the University of Puerto Rico, Executive Director of Institutional Development and Sponsored Programs at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, and Director of Corporations, Foundations, and Government at Southeastern University located in Florida. Dr. Ibarrondo teaches the three core concentration courses for Cambridge College’s first-in-the- nation MBA program in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). In addition, he serves as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at Cambridge College Global. He is Program Chair for General Education, Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Master of Science in Business Ethics & Compliance, and Leadership Certificate in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEIB). He is a member of Cambridge College’s Race, Equity, and Social Justice Initiative steering committee and co-chair of the Community Engagement Committee. Dr. Ibarrondo has a deep passion for teaching and has taught at colleges and universities ranging from community colleges to large multi-campus research institutions. He has taught courses commensurate with his education and expertise such as constitutional law, business law, cyberlaw, school law, international relations, government, political science, history, higher education, educational technologies, supervision, evaluation, research methods, qualitative and quantitative research, research survey design, and courses in change management and diversity, equity, and inclusion. He is a highly experienced and sought-after online teacher and faculty trainer. He has trained hundreds of faculty members in online teaching, trained instructional designers in course design, and impacted the digital learning experiences for thousands of students in Texas, Massachusetts, and Puerto Rico. He has served as a doctoral dissertation advisor for dozens of students and dissertation committee members. In 2000, Dr. Ibarrondo founded Advancement & Development Associates, Inc., a federal government relations and institutional development firm representing higher education institutions. As President & CEO, he obtained over $100 million in public and private funding for the firm’s college and university clients. Many of these colleges and universities that benefitted from his development expertise are Hispanic-Serving Institutions. He has provided strategic leadership in developing curriculum and new academic programs; developing higher education, industry, and government partnerships; new college campus development; accreditation, incorporating educational technologies; and large-scale systemic strategic planning. Dr. Ibarrondo currently serves as an advisor to various university presidents. He is committed to social justice, economic equity, and human rights.
