🌎 Beach Cleanup Recap -
Collaboration, Conservation, and Innovation 🌿

On October 4th, Alpha Pi Mu assisted a successful cleanup at Playuela, Cabo Rojo, with over 60 volunteers, including CROEM students and members from 8 UPRM student associations.

In just four hours, volunteers collected 832 pounds of waste, with 74.22% identified as plastic materials. By using biodegradable trash bags and serving water from reusable gallons, the team minimized environmental impact and promoted sustainable practices. This initiative highlights the power of collaboration and community action in protecting Puerto Rico's coastal ecosystems.🌊

A huge thank you to all the volunteers, associations, and partners who made this effort possible! Together, we continue working toward a cleaner and more sustainable future.💚💜

Several weeks ago, we had the incredible opportunity to visit the Immaculate Conception School in Mayagüez! 🎓

We engaged with bright students from grades 9 to 12, introducing them to the exciting world of engineering, with a special focus on Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. 💡

It was truly inspiring to see their curiosity, energy, and interest in learning more about the opportunities this field offers. This initiative was made possible through a wonderful collaboration with Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honor Society, continuing our mission to inspire and guide the next generation of engineers! 🚀💪🏻

Last week, our future Alphas took their very first step into the Alpha Pi Mu journey! 💜✨

Through an exciting scavenger hunt, our candidates came together, faced challenges, and kicked off their path toward becoming part of our family. 🫶🏻
