Sean M. Rose. Mr. Why Choose Breakthrough?

M.Ed., Independent Educational Consultant has more than 18 years of experience in education, treatment, and mental health with families, children and adolescents. Sean has specialized in finding placements for children and young adults who are difficult to place, and often have experienced complex trauma. He has also held various leadership roles in the public and non-profit sectors, including his

recent appointment as Director of Operations and Development for a non-profit agency. Over the course of his career, Sean has successfully managed programs aimed at enabling youth to develop to their full potential, including residential programs, therapeutic boarding schools, alternative schools, and recreational programs. He earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Lesley University and was awarded a master’s degree in education and school administration from American International College. Rose provides personal support, individualized assessment and recommendations, and oversight for each child and family with which he works. For situations requiring specialized services, such as psychological testing, review of testing results, or questions regarding educational laws and Individualized Education Plans, BREAKTHROUGH employs a team of experts from a variety of fields, to further support each child and family's unique needs. What We Do

The mission of Breakthrough Educational Consultation, LLC, is to connect families who are struggling with children and young adults suffering from trauma and attachment issues with providers who can keep their children safe and teach them the necessary skills to have successful futures. There are many educational consultation agencies available to families and professionals. However, placing children and young adults who have experienced trauma, or have significant behavioral and emotional difficulties, is highly specialized. It requires an in-depth understanding of therapeutic needs and placement options appropriate to each situation. Breakthrough Education Consultation, LLC takes the time to delve into the complexity of each and every child's situation, in order to put them on the track to success.

Our Story

Who We Are

Point School Puerto Rico is a hybrid gap year program designed for young men who are searching for a one-of-a-kind experience designed just for them. We aim to help our young men grow into adulthood with the ability to thrive. We ask our young people to challenge themselves into being their best selves. We ask them to be vulnerable and address their areas of growth. We are not a program for everyone. We are a program for young men with the will to discover, learn and thrive in new experiences and opportunities.

Our hybrid model includes therapeutic support delivered by a licensed clinician, life coaching with trained mentors, support for academic and/or vocational momentum, and a considerable amount of experiential opportunities and cultural immersion.

We achieve our mission through a three phased program designed to meet the individualized therapeutic needs of each young adults we serve. Readiness for each stage is decided by the treatment team in conjunction with the individual.
