Starting next school year, all K–12 students at The Palmas Academy will participate in Semillas del Mar, a hands-on marine science program in partnership with The Coral Nursery, at no cost to families.

Students will engage in real-world learning experiences focused on marine biology, coral aquaculture, ocean conservation, and reef restoration through interactive on-campus visits and field experiences.

We’re proud to continue expanding experiential learning opportunities that connect our students to science, nature, and purpose. 🐠💙

🌴📚 Isla y Lengua brought learning to life this week through hands-on cultural exploration across Puerto Rico!

From making tostones to visiting El Yunque, exploring La Fortaleza, enjoying Los Kioskos de Luquillo, and walking through the historic streets of Old San Juan, students connected language, history, and culture in meaningful, real-world settings.

A true experience of learning beyond the classroom. 🇵🇷✨

📚 Professional Development at The Palmas Academy

Ms. Gabriella Padilla and Ms. Danielle Rivera recently completed “Lectura en Acción: Instituto de Verano en Lectoescritura”, a 30-hour intensive professional development program focused on strengthening literacy instruction through evidence-based practices.

At TPA, we believe we are all learners. This continued investment in professional growth directly strengthens our instructional practice and enhances the learning experience our students will receive when they return in August 2026.

The strategies and tools gained through this training will be implemented in classrooms to further support student literacy development and academic growth across all learners. 📖
