Why did I create Swim Foundations?
When I owned a swim school, parents would often ask me:
“What can we practice at home?”
I also met many children who arrived at lessons nervous, unsure, or afraid of the water.
That’s why I created this program — to help parents gently build water comfort, confidence, and trust before technical swim lessons begin.
It does not replace swim lessons.
It helps children create a healthier relationship with the water, guided by the people they trust most: their parents.

Swim Tip Sunday: Kick Strength & Propulsion
A stronger swimming kick is not just about moving your feet faster.
Your kick becomes more powerful and efficient when your legs, glutes, hips, and core work together to support better body position and movement through the water.
Here are 5 quick tips to remember:
1. Kick from the hips, not just the knees
Too much knee-driven movement can reduce power and create extra drag.
2. Use your glutes to help drive the kick
Your glutes support lower-body power, control, and better propulsion.
3. Keep your kick narrow and steady
Big splashing does not always mean better movement. A smaller, controlled kick can help you move more efficiently.
4. Point your toes and stay long through the legs
This helps reduce resistance and allows your kick to move more smoothly through the water.
5. Strong legs support better body position
A good kick does more than add speed — it helps keep your body higher, balanced, and more aligned in the water.
A stronger kick is built with strength, control, rhythm, and intention.
