As Mental Health Month comes to a close, one takeaway from the Head In The Game evaluation stays with us:

Sport can be designed to support mental wellbeing.

The strongest outcomes came from programs where coaching, structure and session design were built with wellbeing in mind.

In one example, a coach replaced a planned activity with painting to create space for reflection and one-on-one conversations.

A simple reminder to carry forward: how sport is delivered matters.
