Did you know that every character in ¡Mis Superpoderes Bilingües! My Bilingual Superpowers is based on a real child? And one of them is my son. When he was 4 years old, I made it my mission to make sure he saw his bilingualism as a superpower. This book was born from that mission.

For the past 6 years I've been teaching Spanish virtually, connecting with families and communities. And every child I've met along the way reminded me why representation in books matters so much. Meet the characters &

Hoy traigo 10 libros que celebran la belleza de El Yunque y de las cotorras puertorriqueñas, ¡incluyendo una cotorra puertorriqueña muy especial, Coco! 😊 Estos son libros que tengo en la colección de lectura de mi casa y que uso con mis estudiantes. 🦜 World Parrot Day is celebrated every May 31st to raise awareness about parrot conservation and the many species around the world that are endangered. Today, I'm featuring 10 books that celebrate the beauty of El Yunque and the Puerto Rican parrots including one very special cotorra puertorriqueña, Coco! 😉 These are books that I have in our home library and that I use with my students.
