Today, we welcomed Mrs. Anette Hequin, Director of Admissions Selection and Systems at the University of Miami, who met with our Seniors and other High School students interested in attending the university.

She shared detailed information about academic programs, study abroad opportunities in locations such as Paris, Barcelona, Rome, and Seville, campus life, and scholarship opportunities.

Visits like these give our students the opportunity to learn directly from university representatives, explore possibilities, and gain valuable insight as they make decisions about their next steps. On Friday, our Syderix 2027 Class celebrated their Class Ring Ceremony, surrounded by their closest family members. Receiving a class ring is an honored tradition at Dorado Academy, marking a special milestone in their high school journey.

Our Master of Ceremonies, Mrs. Miriam López, led the ceremony, and students received heartfelt messages from their Class Directors, followed by the presentation of their rings by Mrs. Enid Laureano and Mr. Samuel Ortiz. Their Class Advisor, Mrs. Carla Cabanillas, gave the closing remarks.

The celebration continued on the patio with great food, piña coladas, freshly baked pizzas, and karaoke!

A special thank-you to our teachers, Mrs. Jucely Figueroa, Mrs. Ingrid Ocasio, Mrs. Ginamarie Rivera, and Mrs. Bianca Cruz, for their support during this special activity.

A rising star to watch! We’re proud of our student-athlete Louis Ignacio Lopez, who recently competed in the Drive, Chip & Putt competition. After winning the Puerto Rico qualifier, Louis advanced to the Sub-Regional Qualifier in West Palm Beach, where he finished 12th among talented young golfers.

Congratulations, Louis! Your hard work, dedication, and love for the game are already taking you places. We can’t wait to see what’s next! 🐬❤️⛳️🏌️‍♂️

Congratulations to Omega 2026 Alumnus, Manuel Estela Galis-Menéndez, who has been awarded the prestigious Rafael Carrión Jr. Academic Excellence Award!

This honor, established in 2005 by the Banco Popular Foundation in collaboration with the College Board of Puerto Rico and Latin America (CBPRLA), recognizes and celebrates the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence of outstanding young individuals.

Manuel’s relentless pursuit of excellence and dedication to his school and community have made him a true role model. During his senior year at Dorado Academy, he earned both the Student of the Year and Valedictorian Awards, as well as the highest IGS (Índice General de Solicitud) among all applicants to UPR Mayagüez this year.

As Manuel is currently beginning his freshman year at Georgia Tech, his sister and current DA student, Isabella Estela, proudly accepted the award on his behalf.

Manuel exemplifies the values this award was created to honor, and we couldn’t be prouder! Congratulations, Manuel! 🐬❤️🏆💫

So proud of our alumna Paola Alvarado Frontera (Odyssey 2025) for coming back to Dorado Academy today to lead a Common App orientation for our Seniors, Syderix 2027, in the library!

What better way to ease those college application jitters than by getting real, firsthand insight from a fellow Dolphin who recently went through the process herself? Paola shared helpful tips, experiences, and a little reassurance that made the Common App process feel a lot more manageable.

Yesterday, representatives from the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Connecticut (UConn) met with our seniors to share valuable insights about college admissions, academic programs, campus life, and scholarship opportunities.

Mrs. Ingrid Ocasio’s 6th and 7th graders visited the Science Lab to begin the school year by becoming familiar with their new learning space. They reviewed lab safety rules, explored the equipment, and learned about the function of each item. A great way to prepare for the hands-on learning ahead! 🐬❤️🔬

Today our Kinder 1 students created special bracelets using colorful beads inspired by this poem:

“Beads of every color,
I make this wish with all my might.
If another color does appear,
I’m sure to have a great school year!”
