I have been sitting with something I felt from a freind a few days ago as observed pattens revolving around them . I came to this understanding and it always brings me back to my heart when I am able to see both polarity’s.
Shame is a mirror, not a punishment. 🪞
As a NP, I’ve learned the body keeps score of everything we don’t process — and shame is one of the loudest signals we ignore.
What irritates you in someone else? Look closer!!
It’s often a reflection of what you buried in yourself as a child — the part of you that learned it wasn’t safe to show up fully.
That arrogance that bothers you? Maybe you learned taking up space was dangerous. That neediness that annoys you?
Maybe you learned your needs were “too much.”
We don’t hate what’s foreign to us. We hate what’s familiar!!
The parts of ourselves we exiled long ago — still living in the nervous system, still asking to be witnessed.
Shame isn’t the enemy. It’s the map back to your true essence.
Next time someone triggers you — pause.
Ask: what is this really showing me about me?
That’s where the healing starts. ✨
📌 Save this for when you need the reminder.
💬 What’s one thing that triggers you that you’re ready to look at differently?
I found mine….
