Hector’s commercial pilot certificate authorizes him to:
1. Carry persons or property for compensation or hire
2. Act as pilot in command for compensation or hire
3. Act as a pilot for compensation or hire a “dry lease” flight
4. Engage in operations listed under the Part 119 exceptions
a.) Student instruction (with a CFI Certificate)
b.) Nonstop commercial air tours
c.) Ferry or training flights
d.) Aerial work operations including:
- Crop dusting, seeding, spraying, and bird chasing
- Banner towing
- Aerial photography or survey

👨🏻‍✈️ Private Pilot, Eduardo J. Martinez Velez, passed today his “Instrument Rating” Practical Test 🥳 ✈️ De Mayagüez pa’l Mundo!! 🌎

An instrument rating authorizes a pilot to operate an aircraft under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). Now able to file & fly IFR flight plans when the weather conditions are less than 1,000-foot cloud ceilings or 3 miles visibility = Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

Other Key Instrument Rating Privileges include
♦️ Class A Airspace: Access airspace above 18,000 feet MSL.
♦️ Instrument Approaches: Perform authorized IFR approaches to land at airports.
♦️ Night Operations: Perform special VFR at night.
🛩️ Professional Advancement: Required for most commercial, charter, and airline jobs.
