I love tulsi. You can find tulsi hydrosol in my toners, cremes, milks, and spritzes… tulsi in my teapot, fresh or dried… tulsi bushes in my garden… tulsi infused oil in my cooking… tulsi tincture in my apothecary… bunches of tulsi in my doorway… and a sprig of tulsi in my fizzy water, on ice. So nice. I love this powerful, nurturing, uplifting, balancing, inspiring, regulating herb. She is a goddess.

Placeholder rug from the barn to use for now. Not my favorite. Whatever. The right colorful rug will find us… Our kitchen is cuuuuute, and Lenny is delicious.

The base of the broth, ‘pon which the carcasses of two c***s were laid.
•
I’m excited about this broth - birds, nettles, kale from the land, nori from the sea, onions and garlic from the earth. Water from the sky.

We had been getting by on 1.5 burners and no oven for the past month, and today we received our new stove! Very middle aged to be genuinely excited about an appliance purchase, but we were both counting down the days til it arrived.
•
Just in time for baking season and the holiday vibes which - here in Boriken - start now and go until February 2.
•
I put up some holiday lights which makes me feel super excited and snuggly, even as the candles are still burning down on the Samhain altar and inside the Jack o lanterns!
•
Pulling out the old oven gave us the opportunity to reconfigure our kitchen a little, moving out some of the hard-to -clean and bulky furniture to the laundry, and putting the stove in a different spot, opening up more floor and dynamic space.
•
We all love it this way so much more, tho the familiar photo angle of my witchy kitchen took a slight hit. All in service of a nicer cooking and hanging out experience - and fewer hidden spots for feline familiars to lay a sneaky p**s!
•
We washed our rug too many times for it to survive after a long life, and could use a replacement (it’s now raggedy and draped comfortably over the back of our couch)… and now I’m wondering if I should repaint the walls… what color tho?!?! Every time I picture a different color it feels wrong.
•
Nothing trendy or bourgeois about this space - and nothing trendy or bourgeois about the folks who fill it. No streamlined minimalist fashion interiors in this hurricane bunker. This be a hobbit hole for artists and their zoo.
•
If you have color or rug suggestions, lemme know. For rugs, my preferred price is kindly donated from someone who is upgrading their space, but I’m open to reasonable price points… 🤞☺️😉

Another one of these work days coming up NEXT weekend (not tomorrow).
•
Come sweat and work; eat lunch; and then find a cushion and a comfy spot in the ac or on the porch and relax, while we make music for you, with brainwave frequencies to uplift your soul and restore your energy.

Perimenopause, we shall become friends. You are my guide into the spiritual realms beyond fertility.
•
I’m still regularly cycling, but perimenopause is a long process and I am feeling many shifts and intensities.
•
Peri-sisters, I love you.
•
About ten years ago now I sat on the porch drinking tea with one my ‘big sisters’.
•
I was in full breastfeeding, little hands, mucky pup, active mothering stage of life at the time - and she was just at menopause.
•
I knew so little and ‘it’ felt so far away as to be in another galaxy, but I will always remember what my sister said.
•
She told me, all these years we release our eggs and then, our eggs are all gone, we have released them all. At this time WE become the egg, and we release ourselves. We birth ourselves. We nurture ourselves, and we are our own egg.
•
Potent medicine from a healing sister witch.
•
May we all know big sisters who hold our hands into the next… even if we do not realize that is what they are doing.

View of home. This driveway is a bit silly, but this driveway also makes for magic, because it brings us down steeply into a slightly altered reality. You walk down into a place that is its own universe… a little vortex of sound and light energy, populated by myriad trees where a contented pig wanders about; and a tortoise, a white wolf, and a guinea pig are friends.

Join us at the farm - Saturday 14th September, 8am onwards.
•
We will feed you, provide fresh filtered water and ice, and hot tea - and we will have the lovely Ash Vega on the decks, djing for us all to keep our spirits up while we work..
•
Saturday 14th December is Justin’s 47th birthday!! What better way to celebrate his solar return than to build a vision for the future, working the land with a crew of soul kin?! This day is about building and rejuvenating the land - in preparation for our first show at the farm in six years (show - early December).
•
We’ll start the morning by clearing fallen trees and branches and weeding out some invasive plants, which will help open the space for new growth and future gatherings. This effort is crucial as it will help transform our beautiful space into a more welcoming and safe environment for all our upcoming events.
•
Please arrive when you can and spend as much time as you’d like. Keep in mind that the middle of the day can be oppressively hot and rainy, so morning is really the best window of time here. We’re planning a casual drop-in day where everyone can contribute at their own pace. To help us plan better and to receive directions, please RSVP by sending a message.
•
We’re looking forward to building something beautiful together. Let’s make this Brigada a memorable one for the community!

🌿
•How is your midlife journey treating you, sisters?🌿
•
Lately I’ve been working on reconfiguring not so much what I eat, but when I eat it… moving into a place that is supportive of my time in life, with my goddess moon in mind.
•
Perimenopause for me so far hasn’t meant irregular periods, more it has meant Herculean effort to ovulate and very cross and moody periods, with a (relatively) brief but annoying headache that comes at both times.
•
And it has meant that my brain is literally a sieve. Lists are what keep me functional - and timeless, flow state, creative antics are what keep me in love with everything.
•
I have much to say of this time of life - some other day, I will write more…
•
I don’t want to use hormones, for many reasons medical, spiritual, and financial, so I have been researching and am taking another tack - the one that has ALWAYS served me so well and offered transformations in systemic processes and wellness quotient more than anything else…
•
F O O D!!
•
Complex carbohydrates for lunch - lentil dal with almond and buckwheat tortilla… following eating beef for two consecutive days, ahead of my 🩸🌑🩸 - due tomorrow…
