Yesterday we had a group of volunteers from a summer camp in Pennsylvania who worked with the children to create a beautiful mural at school. It was such a success and everyone had so much fun! Very grateful 💜🍃 Check out the final product in the video in comments below

We support and are grateful for these findings! More and more parents are wanting their 4 year olds to start academic kindergarten. We should never try to build a house on a weak foundation. Those Pre K days are magic and full of learning and Pre Skills. Don’t rush the kids… They will succeed if they are ready. 🍃

The age at which children begin formal schooling has become an important topic in developmental research. Some studies suggest that starting kindergarten later may influence attention and behavior patterns.

When children enter school at a slightly older age, their brains may be more prepared for structured learning environments. Developmental maturity can affect focus, impulse control, and emotional regulation.

Researchers have observed that older kindergarten students sometimes show lower rates of inattention and hyperactive behavior compared with younger classmates.

Free play also plays a major role in development. Unstructured play encourages creativity, problem solving, and social learning. During play, children practice cooperation, negotiation, and imagination.

These experiences help strengthen brain systems that support learning later in life. Physical activity and exploration also support healthy emotional development.

Every child develops at a different pace, so the ideal timing for school can vary. Families often consider emotional readiness, social skills, and local education policies when making decisions.

The conversation highlights a broader idea. Childhood benefits from balance between learning, play, and time to grow.

Allowing space for development can support both curiosity and confidence.

Schedule: Tuesday/Thursdays 9:00-4:00pm (3:15-4:00pm pick up window)

* Child must be 3 years old

And that’s a wrap! 4 days vacation and a whole lot of gratitude 🍃 Good schools do not thrive without dedicated staff and work days!! Big thanks to all involved today to deep clean, organize, and complete important repairs. Amanda made a Thanksgiving Meal for us all and it was DELICIOUS 🤤
