Hello everyone :) A year ago I wrote that perhaps it would be possible to hold our last project meeting in Poland within a year. Unfortunatelly, it turned out impossible :( Although we extended the project till June 2021, we could not meet in person :( However, we managed to meet in virtual reality :) We organised our summarising and good-bye meeting online. Although it is not the same as spending time toghether in reality but, nevertheless, we are grateful for the chance of talking a little and seeing one another for a while. Soon you can watch a short film from this event.

Dear Friends 😊 Today we were supposed to start our 5th Erasmus+ project meeting in Żywiec, Poland. Unfortunately, it had to be cancelled due to the unexpected epidemic situation 😔 We are all very sad and sorry about it, however, we hope it will be possible to hold this meeting at a later date. Take care everybody, stay safe and healthy 😊

Today, on 9th of May, we celebrate 70th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration signing. In 1950, against the backdrop of the Cold War, Robert Schuman, French Minister for Foreign Affairs, issued a declaration which marked the beginning of the process of building the European Community. The aim was to establish a new supranational organisation with a view to creating a common coal and steel market between France and Germany, which was also open to other European countries. It would be the European Coal and Steel Community, or ECSC. Robert Schuman was elected the first President of the European Parliamentary Assembly (EPA) on 19 March 1958; he held that post until March 1960.

In January, during Open Days, IIS Fermi-Eredia opened its doors to local area. The teachers and the students involved in the Erasmus+ project "Renewable energy sources-our chance for clean air in Europe" presented it to all visitors inviting them to see pictures and videos. They also shared information about what clean energy is and the way it can be produced for a sustainable future.

The last ecopicnic this year took place in Güngören Mesleki Eğitim Merkezi in Istanbul at the end of November. It was a great opportunity for teachers and students to talk about the problems of air pollution and other ecological issues. Representatives of the local society participated in the meeting too.

4th Istanbul Meeting 15-18.10.2019 - Day 4
On the last day, we took part in the lecture on a very interesting and important topic: e-waste.
After the lecture we discussed the problem of e-wastes disposal which is a great ecological problem in the whole world. Our students participated in workshops and then we summarised the meeting. Finally, there came a sad moment to say goodbye. It was an unforgettable meeting and wonderful encounter of different cultures in the fascinating Istanbul city ❤
