Today, our 3rd and 4th graders visited the museum of Maria Skłodowska-Curie.

They explored her life story and impressed us with their knowledge after reading about young “Mania”.

During the science workshops, they became real lab assistants, experimenting, discovering, and having lots of fun!

Pines is broken up into three distinct areas. Pines Forest School, Pines Primary and Pines Foundation. Following the same core principles and ethos. Inclusivity, promotion of wellbeing and independence and positive educational experiences. What started in August 2019 with three children, one Forest leader and a backpack has evolved beyond any expectations we had. 🌲

From humble beginnings, warming up by the fire between lessons, Pines Primary has grown into a vibrant, full school with more than 20 teachers, specialists, and leaders. It’s been a remarkable journey, and one that has unfolded faster than we ever imagined.

But as we’ve grown, we’ve stayed grounded. Our commitment remains the same: to hold firmly to our ethos and core principles. Pines Primary is not about replicating the feel of a traditional international school. It’s about something more personal.

We are a community. We value each child as an individual. We nurture curiosity rather than confine it, and we protect the spirit of our wildings, ensuring that a natural love of learning isn’t lost, but strengthened with every step of the journey.

This week our wildings took part in our yearly Down Syndrome day workshop. We talked about Down Syndrome, discussed themes of tolerance and diversity and celebrated our uniqueness. 🌲🧦

Today, our primary children took part in an engaging workshop hosted by the Genesis Foundation. The session focused on team building and developing assertiveness.
Through a variety of interactive activities and group challenges, our wildings were encouraged to work collaboratively, listen to one another, and share their ideas with confidence.
