Celem projektu „Rezonatory” jest stworzenie unikalnego programu staży letnich dla najzdolniejszych polskich studentów i studentek związanych z optyką i fotoniką, oraz umożliwienie im rozwoju posiadanych umięjętności. Great news! Our new paper on two-photon excited fluorescence imaging using a 780 nm femtosecond fiber laser is now available online! 😄 Check out the latest issue of Biomedical Optics Express:

We developed a novel femtosecond fiber laser with tunable pulse repetition frequency and employed it to drive a scanning two-photon excited fluorescence microscope for imaging of various biological samples. The work was done in collaboration between Politechnika Wrocławska and the International Centre for Translational Eye Research (ICTER).

Our recent paper on mid-infrared frequency comb generation publihed in Optics Express is available online!
The paper presents the design of a stabilized, widely tunable comb source which covers the 7-9 micron spectral range. Such laser enables fast and accurate monitoring of multiple gases, molecules or air pollutants simultaneously. We have demonstrated a broadband measurement of the absorption spectrum of nitrous oxide (N2O), a harmful greenhouse gas with significant global warming potential. The laser can be also used for monitoring of methane (CH4) or sulfur dioxide (SO2).
The work was funded by Fundacja na rzecz Nauki Polskiej and done at Politechnika Wrocławska.
