Another Dive into Ocean Literacy!
On October 24th, 2025, CMMI held an engaging educational event welcoming 75 students and primary school teachers for a fun-filled day dedicated to the sea, its fish species, and marine biodiversity. Through interactive games and hands-on activities, participants discovered the wonders of our oceans and learnt how to protect them.
The event was organised under the new Probleu project “Tales of the Blue: Engaging children in Ocean-friendly Storytelling”, where primary students, teachers, and communities explored sustainable fishing practices through storytelling, art, and hands-on science.
With the support of families, schools, and local communities, Ocean Tales aims to nurture empathy, creativity, and awareness about how we can all protect marine life. The first step towards this objective was achieved through the outdoor field trip, where students they had the chance to directly talk with stakeholders and conduct interviews with local fishermen. At the same time, during the event, stations and activities were held under Probleu in synergy with other relevant projects as so:
· Fish species (Mr.Goodfish3.0)
· Ocean Basket (TeachBLUE piloting)
· Lego building activity
Teachers also explored creative ways to bring marine topics into their classrooms through the second piloting phase of TeachBLUE activities!

It has been once again an unforgettable experience and an interesting interaction with all teachers, students and the public regarding the gaps and needs that TeachBLUE covers through the Toolkit!
