Prof. Sharon Pardo from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev delivered a lecture on “Israeli-EU Relations”, offering valuable insights into the dynamics in EU-Israeli relations.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting the guest lecture “Geopolitics of Sports and Sports Diplomacy” delivered by Prof. Valerio Mancini at the Instytut Studiów Europejskich Uniwersytet Wrocławski, Faculty of Social Sciences UWr, Uniwersytet Wrocławski. ⚽🌍

🌐 We are proud to share that our professor, Dr Jakub Bornio, and PhD candidate Angelo Biazus Marin Kramer took part in the panel "Central and Eastern Europe and the Global South in a Multipolar World” during Lublin Forum 2026, organized by the Instytut Europy Środkowej.

The panel addressed one of the key questions in contemporary international relations: how the rise of the Global South and the shift toward a more multipolar world are transforming political, economic, and strategic cooperation.

Their participation contributed to an important exchange on the evolving role of Central and Eastern Europe, its security environment, and its potential partnerships with countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

🗞️Exciting news!

Today we officially started the physical component of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “European Territorial Cooperation as a Response to Contemporary Challenges of European Integration – Communities, Economy, Environment” at the Uniwersytet Wrocławski, Faculty of Social Sciences UWr 🇵🇱

The students have joined us at the Instytut Studiów Europejskich Uniwersytet Wrocławski for the period from 18th to 22nd May and we couldn’t be happier to act as hosts 🥳

The programme brings together students and academics to explore how European cooperation can respond to contemporary economic, environmental, and social challenges while strengthening integration and cross-border collaboration.

Looking forward to an inspiring week full of learning and cooperation! 🌍✨

☝️Between May 3–9, Dr. Sylwia Romańska conducted a research stay in Copenhagen within the NCN Miniatura project “Youth Participation in Cross-Border Structures - pilot comparative studies in the Euroregion Pro Europa Viadrina and Euroregion Bałtyk”

🌍 The visit combined inspiring scientific consultations with scholars from CeFU at Aalborg Universitet interviews with youth organizations, library research at the The Royal Danish Library, and participant observation on Ungdomsøen a unique island run with and for young people, where democracy, responsibility, and community are practiced every day.
It was an intense but inspiring week fullfill with conversations, new perspectives, and meaningful research encounters 🤝
