Another Saturday has gone, but it was productive and practical.

Positive discipline workshop was eye-opening and now I know how to understand my students better and how to help them.

But almost 8 hours of Polish were challenging for me, and at the end I couldn't say a sentence.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, so I could manage the students behaviour better.

It has been a while since I posted something 🙂
So I want to share cards that I made for online lessons with kids. The topic was and .
Students had to make sentences: "I want some ..."

Just a simple idea with the Christmas song

1. You can ask your kids to draw and decorate the Christmas tree as in the song.

2. You can print, laminate and give it to students to listen to and decorate.

Didn't have much time to post the last few weeks, but here are some ideas which I used at my lessons.
- simple "spinner" game with a pen,
- hopscotch with body parts and "it's ..."/"they're..." sentences
- finger puppets for family vocabulary
- memory game ( made cards in different colours to organise them faster at the lessons)
- I have ... Who has ...? game to review and practice
- sticks with emoticons 🙂☹️ to practice Yes/No answers.

Halloween is coming...
But I didn't do any "scary" things with my young students.
Instead we did a Pumpkin quest.
There were 8 pumpkin pictures in the classroom with tasks on the back. We did them and students got stickers for every completed task.
One of the tasks was to feed the hungry pumpkin 😃

Once I saw the idea with torch and flashcards but didn't have a chance to try it.
Yesterday finally I made it come true and used at my lessons. To make it more interesting and useful for different topics, I created a small TV.

What's your favourite ...?
This is one kind of question we learn with young students, so I have created such cards to practise naming different favourite things.
It's perfect to use one set for a pair of students, but we used them in groups of 3-4 students.

First working week is behind.
Was it difficult?
Yes, it was.
Was it exciting?
Yes it was.
More than 50 new students = more than 50 new Polish names😃
I need time to remember all of them🤯
We managed to discuss some rules for our lessons, you can see the poster we created with 3rd grade ( they are the oldest group I have).
This week I started also 3 more new groups but they are different and I will tell you about them later.
Teachers, students, how were your first weeks of September?

A little bit tired but inspired a lot...
I haven't visited such meetings for a while and I missed them a lot.
Today it was a teacher training day on Teddy Eddie methodology in Poznań.
It was something unique and fresh for me, because this approach is completely different to what I met in other courses for young children.
I can't wait to use it at my lessons (although I am worried how it will work with my little students) but I will have a great companion with me - Teddy Eddie 🐻 ( a soft toy).

Цього тижня проходили з учнями , в книзі Puzzle Time for Starters знайшла чудове завдання.
Фото додаю.
Потрібно розфарбовувати предмети у відповідний колір і потім вийшло слово. В книзі завдання йде на слухання, але я його змінила.

Яке слово вийшло?

Після переїзду я зустрічаю багато нових людей, і скажу чесно перші пів року я не могла запам'ятати ні ім'я людини, ні як вона виглядає, якщо ми зустрічалися лише раз.😔

Зараз, коли я почала працювати з дітьми, в мене пішло два тижні на те, щоб їх запам'ятати.🙂

Ще і візьмемо до уваги, що імена в Польщі зовсім інші. Не наші такі вже звиклі - Саша, Аня, Даша, Артем, а Hubert (Хуберт), Kacper (Кацпер), Maciek (Мачєк), Ula (Ула), Szymon (Шимон), Laura (Лаура).

Насправді це весело, тому що змушую свій мозок працювати, хоча іноді і плутаю ще імена.

А які вам траплялися не звичні для вас імена?

Вже багато років я намагалася обмежувати свої мрії, тому що вони не здійснювалися, або навіть віддалялися від мене.🚀

Я могла лише вірити в те, що я реально могла досягнути, і відповідно знала, що для цього робити.
⠀
Але минулого тижня сталася несподіванка…🎁

Я вже два роки працюю лише онлайн, і от минулого тижня в сторіс я написала, що дуже сумую за живими заняттями в групах.

А через два дні мені написали і запропонували вести дві групи, в класі. 😍

Можливо все-таки варто мріяти і все буде здійснюватися.✨
