🌍✨ DOC x OPTO 2026!

Last week representatives from our chapter took part in the Young Scientist Conference: Developments in Optics and Communications (DOC) x OptoMeeting (OPTO) 2026 in Riga.

OPTO has its roots at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and this year it joined forces with DOC Riga. Together, we created a space for young researchers to present their work, exchange ideas, and build collaborations in the field of optics.

We would like to congratulate the Wrocław participants who received awards:

A huge thank you to the everyone who supported the event, especially Milena Dile, for all the effort put into making this conference happen. We are happy that Jakub Wroński, our Vice President, could contribute as part of the organizing committee.

Bringing 15 participants from two departments of WrUST wasn't easy task. Huge thanks to Adrian Chlebowski and Ada Drwęcka for organizing the trip, Karolina Suliga for her outstanding support throughout the conference, and to our university for the financial support!

We are excited to share that last week the Photonics Society of Poland awarded our chapter as ✨the best science club active in the fields of optics and photonics!✨

This recognition is the result of the efforts our members have put into organizing events, lectures, and even conferences (remember OPTO 2025...? 👀).

Thank you to everyone who contributed, and to our supervisors, Prof. Wacław Urbańczyk and Dr. inż. Mateusz Szatkowski, without whom our chapter would not be able to remain active.

We don’t stop here! We are already working on new ideas and plans for the future, and this special recognition serves as further motivation for us. ⚡️

Mieliśmy dzisiaj ogromną przyjemność wysłuchać seminarium Prof. Sobonia na temat laserów femtosekundowych i ich zastosowań na rynku. Dziękujemy Profesorowi za podzielenie się swoim doświadczeniem (i anegdotami prosto z branży) oraz wszystkim zainteresowanym za przyjście! 😁

Warsztaty z budowy harfy laserowej były dla nas świetną okazją do dzielenia się pasją do optyki, elektroniki i programowania. Dziękujemy organizatorom za umożliwienie przeprowadzenia zajęć i uczestnikom za wykazanie się ciekawością, metodycznością i kreatywnością! ✨

Warsztaty nie odbyłyby się bez Magda Zatorska, która opracowała materiały dydaktyczne i poprowadziła każde ze spotkań. 👏
