We have a saying in Poland that literary translates: First Cats over the fence and means "that was (just) the first time", so first-year students have just passed their first exam in the winter session while for the second year, it was another session beginning. Congrats and success in the next exams!🙌

17th edition of the Job and Internships Fairs is coming:
Explore your possibilities on the labour market

Let's meet on 24 April 2024 from 10:00 am to 3:15 pm at the Faculty of Biotechnology of Wrocław University (14a Frederic Joliot-Curie Street), where the Job and Internships Fairs KAMPUS KARIERY will take place!

The event programme includes:
· EXHIBITION ZONE - representatives of as many as 16 companies can't wait to talk to you!
· PHOTO ZONE - maybe it's time to refresh your CV photo? During the event, photographer Jakub Kalinowski from Bliżej Studio will take a photo of you completely free!
· CV LAB ZONE - bring your CV with you (can be electronic or paper) and take it to the next level under expert guidance! 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm

The motto of the upcoming edition is 'Explore your options on the labour market', as science students are particularly invited to participate in the Fair.

We met at the event which has become our annual tradition - a culinary evening. We prepared and shared our national food and enjoyed time together! We tried this time Indian, Bangladeshi, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indonesian, Polish, French, and Turkish dishes: all very tasty, some of them very hot, some quite sweet!

The long queues were observed today in Polish cities and towns!
Do not worry - it is not an economy breakdown. It is only our tradition which we call the Fat Thursday. The idea in Catholic calendar comes from the fact that this is the last Thursday before the Great Fast period which will prepare us for the celebration of the Resurection of Jesus during Easter Holidays. According to tradition we should therefore eat as many doughnuts as possible, all in the name of good luck. Statistically, every Pole eats two and a half doughnuts ‒ or pączki, in Polish ‒ on that day, which constitutes a whopping 100 million for the entire nation. It is not a big problem as you can try versions with varied fillings - my favourite is stuffing made of ground edible rose petals with sugar!
The most expensive pączek as I heard of can even cost 100 PLZ (covered with gold flakes).

One of the most basic courses in the first year of studies is Introduction to Hospitality where we are discussing trends and other phenomena of the global dynamic market! Here we are: students of TandH and Erasmus students who have joined us for the winter semester of 2023/2024 academic year. The photo taken just minutes before the exam!
