Laser Optics and Solid-State Lasers Group are part of Laser Technology Division of Institute of Optoelectronics of MUT in Warsaw, PL. The main scientific activity of Laser Optics Group (LASOG) is focused nowadays on physics and technology of diode or fiber pumped lasers on solid state gain media (monocrystals or ceramics) as: Nd:YAG, Nd:YVO4, Nd:YAP, Nd:YLF, Yb:YAG, Yb:LuAG, Tm:YLF, Ho:YAG, Ho:YLF, Cr:ZnSe, Er:YAG and others. The regimes of gain switching, Q-switching and passive mode locking have been subject of intense experimental as well as theoretical investigations. In the last decade we have worked out the original constructions of pulsed optical parametric oscillators, Raman lasers, hybrid lasers, diode pumped (in end or side - pumping configurations) lasers. The scientific activity of the Solid-State Lasers Group comprises lamp- and diode-pumped solid-state lasers (erbium, neodymium, holmium, thulium) laser systems for medical therapy and diagnostic, research on laser light interaction with biological tissues, development of near- and mid-infrared fiber lasers and amplifiers, research on supercontinuum generation and the development of different supply and control electronic units dedicated for laser systems. http://www.wat.edu.pl
