🌐 Jak globalne upowszechnienie technologii cyfrowych zmieniło oblicze gotowości cyfrowej?
✒️ W najnowszym artykule prof. Katarzyny Śledziewskiej i Weroniki Łebkowskiej, “Digital readiness regimes and development dynamics: The role of governance and skills beyond connectivity”, autorki analizują, jak kraje różnią się pod względem gotowości cyfrowej.
🔍 Współczesna luka cyfrowa nie dotyczy już wyłącznie dostępu do infrastruktury ICT, ale także kompetencji, jakości regulacji, zdolności innowacyjnych i miejsca gospodarki w globalnych sieciach technologicznych. Na podstawie danych dla 164 gospodarek z lat 2010–2023 badaczki zidentyfikowały trzy reżimy gotowości cyfrowej i pokazały, że przejścia między nimi są ograniczone, a kluczową rolę odgrywają jakość zarządzania i regulacji, kompetencje oraz zdolność innowacyjna.

🌐 How has the global diffusion of digital technologies transformed the nature of the digital divide?
✒️ In their latest article, “Digital readiness regimes and development dynamics: The role of governance and skills beyond connectivity”, prof. Katarzyna Śledziewska and Weronika Łebkowska analyse how countries differ in terms of digital readiness.
🔍 The modern digital divide no longer concerns solely access to ICT infrastructure, but also skills, the quality of regulation, innovation capacity and the economy’s place within global technology networks. Based on data for 164 economies from 2010 to 2023, the researchers identified three digital readiness regimes and demonstrated that transitions between them are limited, with the governance quality and regulation, skills and innovation capacity playing a key role.
