By the decision of the General Assembly of the United Nations from 2009, on August 19 we celebrate World Humanitarian Day 🕊
Humanitarian action is not only about saving and protecting life during disasters caused by nature or human activity. It is also providing assistance in the reconstruction of infrastructure or supporting people exposed to long-term crises. Today, we thank people who put their hearts and time to help to in need, even during the "after work hours".
At the University of Warsaw, humanitarian action is best known to people associated with NOHA Warsaw — studies co-conducted by the Faculty of Law and Administration and Faculty of Political Science and International Studies in cooperation with partnering universities united in NOHA International Association of Universities 🔍
Thank you for the work you put into the development of international humanitarian action 🎉
