do we like it?
Having tried most filter jugs on the market has brought something to us that is an interesting change to the normal carbon filter block.
What is it?
Peak uses resins and a bypas.
To help you tune the filter to your water or wants.
Overall we don’t find jug filters to be a replacement for full sized filters however for home use or in a cafe for filter coffee needs this works well.
In honesty for home use for those not so bothered with water this might not be what you need. However there is a larger reason to buy peak in our minds. That is that we prefer to support smaller coffee professional led businesses where we can and no one shows that independent spirit and innovation than Maxwell.
So if you want good water or just a water jug that has recyclable filters Peak works well.

Life with
Well it has been a really pleasant surprise. Honestly this grinder has really found a place in the lab.
It works really well to make a sweet tasting espresso and has the control to really dial in a pro level shot. However it has also proven to be very good at filter coffee making and cupping needs.
We really have to admit for home use or low volume professional use the Niche really has filled a gap in the compact/home grinder market.

What a great 6 days.
Thanks to .giriada who flew over to make these courses happen.
We started with a one day Q Calibration Exam.
Well done to everyone for passing that.
And ended with the six days that is Q Arabica course.
We are super proud of how well everyone did. Especially our own Stefan.
All of them have been on a training with us in the past and it is wonderful to see how well they did in the exams, although they didn’t pass first time they did better than most.
We look forward to seeing them all again as full Qs in the future.

At Raf & Co we have years of experience working with origin and imports of coffee. From working with producers, exporters to supporting importers and doing quality control.

Not long to go until we finish this wonderful colab project.

Last week we were closed for a private training.
