A display of works by Patryk Różycki accompanies the “Edward Dwurnik. Shame and Pride” exhibition. Titled “Transformation,” it showcases a selection of paintings created between 2021 and 2024, dealing with the artist’s childhood and adolescence in the countryside—marked by socio-economic exclusion amid Poland’s transition of the 1990s.

🧸 As part of Warsaw Gallery Weekend 2026, Julia Platt’s solo show “Arriving, Leaving” at Polana Institute will be accompanied by “Play,” a solo performance written and directed by Ewa Platt and performed by Janka Komorowska-Majkowska.

🪁 “Play” /pl. „Zabawa”/ is an autobiographical monodramatic performance in which director Ewa Platt, together with her twin sister, Julia Platt, returns to selected memories from their childhood. This return is not an attempt to reconstruct the past, but rather to evoke an experience that, for years, remained closely associated with a sense of safety.

The performance takes as its starting point the simple forms of childhood play—hide-and-seek, tag. They are revisited as though they had never truly ended. At the same time, one sentence keeps resurfacing in the background: “Don’t cry, don’t cry, it’s only a game.” Repeated like a mantra, it gradually reveals the ambiguity of memory and the tension between the experience of childhood and the way it is understood in retrospect.

CRASH CLUB 2026

Since 2023, CRASH CLUB has been creating temporary spaces for artistic exchange, bringing together galleries, artists, performances, and moving-image practices beyond the traditional white cube.

This year’s edition takes place at Bracka 5A, a site where Warsaw’s layered history becomes part of the exhibition itself. A nineteenth-century courtyard building hidden behind a post-war facade, the location bears traces of a city constantly being transformed—through preservation, reconstruction, adaptation, and disappearance.

Against this backdrop, CRASH CLUB 2026 looks at the ways cities are shaped, reshaped, and contested, asking what—and whose—histories are allowed to remain visible.

The 2026 edition is curated by ARCC (Artist-Run Collaborative Curation), an international collective exploring curating as a collaborative, artist-led practice. Organized by: Mikołaj Beczek, Philip Ortelli, Marta Lityńska-Beczek.

🚬 Opening next week: Adam Kozicki x Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Warszawie

In his latest exhibition, Adam Kozicki turns his attention to the ever-shifting landscape of the contemporary internet—a space defined by the incessant circulation of information, where competing worldviews, values, and identities converge and collide. The fragmented nature of online discourse, and its deeply affective dimension, increasingly blur the boundaries between fact, opinion, and individual experience.

The internet emerges here not merely as a site of conflict and cultural tension, but as a space in which broader social expectations, desires, and fantasies are articulated—revealing the shifting boundaries of what is deemed permissible, acceptable, or even imaginable.

🎨 Julia Platt, Arriving, Leaving, 2026, oil on canvas, 70 x 90 cm

In her latest painting series, Julia Platt confronts her past and the difficult passage into adulthood, shaped by her mother’s long, incurable illness. Being caught in loops of time, attached to the same objects from the past and returning to them again and again, no longer brings comfort; instead, it gives rise to anxiety and exhaustion. The artist tries to break free from the trap of memory through formal devices borrowed from the old masters and through a poignant exploration of different textures.
