This year was rough for crypto. Most so-called “fundamental” coins are down ~95%.

Maybe next year is better. But don’t hope for it — be prepared for it.😉

While the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are making new highs, Bitcoin is moving on its own timeline. Instead of accepting that, much of the crypto commentary still looks for simple explanations and easy villains.

Yes, the narrative has improved — more references to Fed policy and macro data — but the conclusions often stay the same. Complex signals are reduced to “manipulation” or “whales,” rather than a real attempt to understand what’s happening.

In reality, Bitcoin’s price reflects expectations around interest rates, the cost of capital, and regulatory factors. These dynamics matter just as much as sentiment.

The same confusion appears around BlackRock. An ETF is a product, not a trading desk. Capital flows through it based on investor decisions, not because someone at BlackRock is pressing buy or sell.

Bitcoin isn’t broken or “lagging.” It’s adjusting to a different macro environment. Understanding that requires less noise and more education.
