Dear students,

Today marked the final day of the CEEPUS Summer School 2026—twelve unforgettable days filled with academic excellence, cultural exchange, and new international friendships.

In the afternoon, participants gathered for the Closing Ceremony, celebrating the successful completion of the programme and reflecting on the experiences, knowledge, and memories they had gained throughout their stay at VIZJA University. During the ceremony, all participants were proudly awarded certificates in recognition of their active participation and successful completion of the CEEPUS Summer School. 📜👏

The celebrations continued with a Gala Dinner 🍽️🥂, where participants, lecturers, and organizers came together one last time to enjoy a delicious meal, engage in inspiring conversations, share laughter, and reflect on the friendships and memories created over the past twelve days.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, lecturers, guest speakers, and everyone involved in organizing this year's CEEPUS Summer School.

We hope to see you again in the future, and we wish you safe travels tomorrow and every success in your academic and professional journeys!

Dear students,

Today's programme began with an inspiring workshop titled "From workshop to publication: designing interdisciplinary food & well-being research" 📚🔬. Participants explored the process of developing research ideas into academic publications, while gaining valuable insights into interdisciplinary collaboration and the importance of combining different fields of expertise to address contemporary challenges in food and well-being research.

Following a lunch break at VIZJA Food 🍽️, our participants visited the Museum of Warsaw 🏛️. Through its fascinating exhibitions, they had the opportunity to discover the rich history of Poland's capital—from its origins and development over the centuries to the resilience and spirit that have shaped the city into what it is today.

As Warsaw has become a temporary home for our CEEPUS participants, the visit offered a meaningful opportunity to better understand the city's heritage, culture, and the stories that make it such a unique place.

Dear students,

The tenth day of the CEEPUS Summer School began with an engaging workshop titled "Probiotic and Functional Beverages" 🥛🍹. Participants explored the growing role of probiotic and functional beverages in promoting health and well-being, learning about their nutritional properties, potential health benefits, and their place in modern diets.

In the afternoon, our participants set out to discover two of Warsaw's most iconic landmarks. The first stop was the University of Warsaw Library Gardens 🌳📚, one of the largest and most beautiful rooftop gardens in Europe, offering breathtaking views of the city alongside a unique combination of architecture and nature.

To conclude the day, we visited the magnificent Royal Castle 🏰, located in the heart of Warsaw's historic Old Town. As one of Poland's most important cultural and historical monuments, the Castle offered participants an opportunity to explore the country's rich heritage while admiring its beautifully restored interiors and remarkable history.

Another day of learning, discovery, and cultural exploration has added even more unforgettable memories to our CEEPUS Summer School journey. 🌍✨

Dear students,

The ninth day of the CEEPUS Summer School was dedicated to an in-depth workshop titled "Animal-Based Products in a Healthy Diet: Meat and Wine from a Quality Perspective".

We were honoured to begin the day with the first part of the workshop, "Animal-Based Products in a Healthy Diet: Meat and Wine from a Quality Perspective," led by Joanna Stadnik, a head of the Polish Society of Food Technologists. During her session, participants had the opportunity to benefit from her extensive knowledge and experience, gaining valuable insights into the role of meat in a healthy, balanced diet, its nutritional value, quality, and responsible consumption.

In the second part of the workshop, we had the distinct pleasure of welcoming Emőke Korzenszky, First Secretary for Agriculture and Environment at the Embassy of Hungary. Drawing on her professional expertise and international experience, she introduced participants to the wine aspect of the workshop, sharing valuable insights into quality standards, winemaking traditions, and the cultural significance of wine from an international perspective.

We are sincerely grateful to both speakers for sharing their knowledge and expertise, making today's programme an inspiring and enriching experience for all participants.

Dear students,

The eighth day of the CEEPUS Summer School began with a visit to VIZJA University's Wiśniowy Business Park Campus 🏢. Participants had the opportunity to discover another part of our university and learn more about the facilities that support education across a variety of academic disciplines.
The visit was followed by a workshop titled "Anthropometric measurements in dietetics" 📏🥗. During the session, participants explored the importance of anthropometric measurements in nutritional assessment and dietetic practice, gaining practical insights into methods used to evaluate body composition and overall health.
After returning to the VIZJA Campus, everyone enjoyed a well-deserved lunch break at VIZJA Food 🍽️. The afternoon continued with some free time for the student participants to relax before the next activities, while the professors had the opportunity to meet with the authorities of VIZJA University, exchanging experiences and discussing topics related to international cooperation and higher education.

Dear students,

After enjoying breakfast together at VIZJA Food ☕🥐, our participants set off for a relaxing Sunday visit to the Warsaw Zoo 🦒🐘.
Spending the afternoon surrounded by nature and wildlife, participants had the opportunity to discover a wide variety of animal species while enjoying one of Warsaw's most popular attractions. The visit offered a pleasant change of pace, allowing everyone to unwind, explore the zoo at their leisure, and continue getting to know one another in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday—combining exploration, conversation, and shared experiences outside the classroom. 🌍✨

The sixth day of the CEEPUS Summer School began with an inspiring workshop titled "Flavours of the Mediterranean Basin: Diet and Cuisine for Health" 🫒🥗.
During the session, participants explored the principles of the Mediterranean diet, widely recognized for its positive impact on health and well-being. The workshop highlighted the region's rich culinary traditions, nutritional values, and the role that balanced eating habits play in supporting a healthy lifestyle.
Following the workshop, participants enjoyed some well-deserved free time to relax, explore Warsaw at their own pace, or simply spend time together with fellow participants and continue building international friendships. 🌍✨

Dear students,

Today's programme began with a visit to one of Warsaw's most beautiful and iconic landmarks – Łazienki Royal Park 🌳🏛️. Surrounded by picturesque gardens, historic palaces, and peaceful walking paths, our participants spent several hours exploring this unique place, learning more about Poland's history and enjoying the beauty of nature in the heart of the capital.
After returning to VIZJA University, the programme continued with a lecture titled "AI and Smart Nutrition" 🤖🥗. Participants explored how artificial intelligence is shaping the future of nutrition by supporting personalised dietary recommendations, analysing health data, and promoting healthier lifestyles through innovative technologies.
To conclude the day, we were delighted to invite all participants to a BBQ evening 🍔🌭🎉. Alongside delicious food, everyone had the opportunity to take part in a variety of fun team activities and games, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax, get to know one another even better, and strengthen the international friendships formed throughout the Summer School.

Dear students,

Today began with an engaging workshop titled "Global Fermentation and Personalised Nutrition – Microbiome in Practice" 🦠🥬. Participants explored the science behind fermentation, the importance of the human microbiome, and the growing role of personalised nutrition in supporting health and well-being. The workshop provided valuable insights into how nutrition can be tailored to individual needs while highlighting food traditions from around the world.
Following a short break, our participants had the pleasure of visiting the Copernicus Science Centre 🚀🔬—one of Poland's leading science centres, renowned for its interactive exhibitions that make science accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for visitors of all ages. Throughout the visit, participants explored a wide range of exhibits, conducted hands-on experiments, and discovered fascinating scientific phenomena through observation and experience.

Dear student,

The morning began with an engaging workshop dedicated to "European Cheeses – Tradition, Microflora and Nutritional Value (Including Plant-Based Alternatives)" 🧀🌱. Participants explored the rich diversity of European cheese-making traditions while learning about the role of microflora, nutritional benefits, and the growing importance of plant-based alternatives in modern nutrition.
Following a short break, the programme continued with a second workshop titled "Well-being in Practice: Nutrition, Stress and Recovery" 💚. Through interactive discussions and practical insights, participants learned more about the connections between healthy eating, stress management, and effective recovery, gaining valuable knowledge that can be applied in everyday life.
