During this year’s Annual Conference of the Association of Nahuatl Scholars, members of our TEOTL team had the amazing opportunity to explore Nahuatl resources at the Doris Z. Stone Latin American Library 📚 and the Library Research Center 📚 at Tulane University in New Orleans.

They also visited an exhibition by Christine Hernández on Maestra Antonia Osorio Naranjo. 🎨✨

Have you ever wondered whether a Christian hymn could carry traces of an older Indigenous worldview? 🤔
At first glance, the “Female Song for the Resurrection of Our Lord” appears to be a Christian hymn. Yet a closer reading reveals deep continuities with pre-Hispanic Nahua religious thought, cosmology, and ritual language.

Sounds interesting? 📖 If so, you have to read the new article ✨“Unveiling Indigenous Worldview in ‘Female Song for the Resurrection of Our Lord’”✨ by our TEOTL team member Dr. Katarzyna Szoblik and by Dr. Katarzyna Granicka, recently published in The Americas!
