That was the essence of our last Toastmasters meeting—an evening driven by curiosity, growth, and strong performances 😊

We had the privilege of hearing six insightful speeches, each offering a distinct perspective and valuable takeaways. The session was expertly led by our Toastmaster of the Day, who kept the energy high and the audience engaged throughout.

The theme, “The Power of the Question,” pushed us to think deeper about how the questions we ask influence our thinking, decisions, and personal development.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our very own club member, Viktoriya Tudoran, has officially received the Distinguished Toastmaster award! 🏆

The DTM is the absolute highest level of educational achievement in Toastmasters International, and Viktoriya has truly earned it. Since joining us in 2016 with the simple goal of practicing English, she has achieved so much:

🌟 Served as our VP Education, Secretary, and Club President
🌟 Stepped up as District 108 PR Manager
🌟 Mentored and sponsored new corporate clubs
🌟 Brought the amazing "Flying Speaking Elephants" project to life!

WE DID IT! 🏆
Out of all the clubs in Division A, Speaking Elephants took 1st place in BOTH contests: speech and evaluation.

This past Sunday, we had the thrill of competing at the Division level, and our members brought home the top awards:

🏆 Luis Eduardo Plazas Barrios won 1st place in the International Speech Contest!
🏆 Michał Dąbrowski won 1st place in the English Evaluation Contest!

Thanks to these incredible victories, our champions will represent Speaking Elephants at the next and highest level of the competition: Wings Of Change - District 108 Annual Conference 2026!

We are also extremely proud of our members who helped make this event a success:

Oktaviani Indah Puspita Szamocka served as the Contest Chair, leading and coordinating the entire event.
Piotr Dembi supported the contest as the Counter.
David Ruiz delivered an incredible and highly entertaining workshop that brought so much fun to the day.

Congratulations to all contestants and organizers for creating a memorable and inspiring Division contest.

Our latest Toastmasters meeting was all about startup pitches.

In Table Topics, speakers had to pitch bizzare startup concepts on the spot, including:
🌿 Plantr: Swipe right for Oxygen
🍪 Rent-a-Gran: Cookies for Demand
🤖 AI system for Party Excuses

Besides that:
Sagar Suresh Chokatkar delivered his Ice Breaker.
Anna Szymula gave a speech titled “When Will It Be Good Enough?”
Aleksander Warejko, our Toastmaster of the Evening, also presented his own startup idea.

A good reminder that in business, a strong idea is only the beginning. The pitch is what matters for business success.

What keeps you going during difficult times?

At our latest meeting, led by David Ruiz, we explored this question and focused on resilience — continuing despite setbacks and uncertainty💪

Congratulations to Kinga Jeszke for winning Table Topics, and to Rajv Vish for completing the 1st level of his Dynamic Leadership pathway👏

We were also glad to welcome two guests and hope to see them again soon :)

A special mention to our President Oktaviani Puspita, who took on three roles — truly impressive and a great example of commitment in action😊

Public speaking is no longer a challenge for us, so we’re raising the bar!
That's why from now on, every single speech in our club will be delivered as a SONG! 🎶

You can choose any musical style for your project: pop, rock, opera, rap, or even disco polo.

Instead of evaluations a panel of judges will rate your performance. And Table Topics will now be strictly a ca****la rap battles.

The meeting “Mind of a Champion!” was especially fun, as Guest Speaker Martin Wierzbicki led a workshop on how to find humor in public speaking.

Agata Kozielewska delivered her first ever speech “Teddy Bears and Big Ideas”, and Alexander Vareiko presented “Understanding Conflict Resolution”.

In the Table Topics session, David Ruiz took first place.
