Little English Theatre visited our Preschoolers with an educational play about forming good habits and the effects of disregarding them.
Teaching about important issues through the art of drama is a useful and enjoyable way to bring our students' attention to the things that matter, whilst letting them meet their favourite characters and experience many theatrical adventures! ❤️🎭

The inquiry at Preschool is well underway, and both Seniors and Seniors Advanced groups have started their new units.
Seniors are learning that developing and keeping friendships requires strong communication skills and proncipled behaviour. They have been practically applying their skills and knowledge in and out of the classroom ☺️

Advanced have been finding out that reflection can help us grow and make us more independent as learners 🤗 Being conscious of their choices and decisions and looking back at ones own actions definitely comes in handy in everyday situations ❤️

Music lessons with Mr. Coki are definitely among students' favourites: joining forces to create a song is a fantastic way to practise creativity, by coming up with spontaneous rhythms and melodies 🤗🎶🎤🪕🥁 Doing it with a group is even more precious, as it helps in shaping your cooperation skills and attention to others, by making you part of a unique band's jam session! 🥰

Once again, Preschoolers got together to participate in the national drive: 'Kwiaty za elektrograty'.

For collecting used electro waste they got some lovely heathers in return and were quick and eager to plant them in the Preschool garden - what a beautiful addition to the early autumn vibe we can already feel in the air 🤗☀️🍂

Yesterday our Preschoolers celebrated The Dot Day (Dzień Kropki), inspired by a fantastic children's book, which managed to become a modern classic 🥰📖📚

'The Dot' by Peter H. Reynolds is about Vashti, a girl who believes she cannot draw, until her teacher encourages her to simply make a dot. Her small mark becomes the beginning of her discovering her creativity and confidence.

The story teaches children that everyone is creative, and that it is okay to start small, make mistakes, and experiment. It encourages self-confidence, perseverance, and believing in your own abilities, while showing how a little encouragement can make a big difference. ❤️

First Graders are loving their new school and everything about their new daily routines - including outdoor time in the great September weather 🤗☀️🍁
We know how important the balance between learning and playing is and we make sure that physical activity goes hand in hand with academic development ❤️

When we come back to Preschool after the summer, we obviously give ourselves a bit of time to get back to the working mode and regain the momentum 😊
We can confidently say that the first two weeks served beautifully as adaptation time and all the groups have smoothly settled and transitioned tho the rhythm of the academic year at the Canadian Preschool 🤗😁☀️

On the 27th of August all the Canadian School teachers participated in an all important digital hygiene training, organized by Instytut Cyfrowego Obywatelstwa.

As parents and educators we know only too well how overwhelming and ever present the digital world has become and how the balance between the knowledgeable, healthy use of internet content can so easily shift towards uncontrolled, addictive and unproductive behaviours.

One of the School's main goals for this year is educating all members of the CSW's Community, by inviting them to these eye-opening workshops and providing tools for maintaining good digital hygiene. Starting with the teachers, we will continue with such sessions for Parents and Students in the near future.

Thank you so much to the Institute of Digital Citizenship for helping us address and navigate the importance issue of digital hygiene 🙏🖥️⌨️🛜

Autumn is coming (according to the weather forecasts AND the calendar 🤗). Preschoolers know precisely what to do with the ( presumably ) last hot day of the season! 🤗💪🌳🌷☀️🛝
Our young learners spent a big chunk of the day outdoors, enjoying the nearby park, the gorgeous weather and each other's company 🥰

This week, grade 2a during EW begun their new unit on decision-making and planning, we kicked things off with a fun team challenge: Save Fred! 🛟🤗🪱

Students worked in small teams to rescue Fred, a gummy worm whose boat had capsized, using only paper clips to get his life preserver back and safely return him to his boat.

The challenge encouraged creative thinking, communication, planning, and making decisions together. It was a great reminder that successful projects often begin with a clear plan and sometimes require a few creative solutions along the way. Little did they know that this challenge was our provocation the first step into exploring how we make decisions, plan our work, and successfully manage a project from beginning to end!♥️
