Poland's First Toastmasters

We as Toastmaster club help you developing and practicing your public speaking and presentation skills. A supportive, friendly, and international environment.

Join our meetings and become part of an amazing supportive community dedicated for your personal growth. Guests are always welcome with no obligation apart from a short introduction. Once becoming a member, one can progress by working through a set of projects. Every project includes instructions, and a designated club member will provide valuable feedback after the project delivery. Flexible progressing, at one’s own pace and time. As a non-profit organisation, toastmasters’ membership dues are kept at a minimum.

Delivering an ice-breaker speech is always a challenge that pushes you outside of your comfort zone. Guess what? Two weeks ago, Jan rose to it with ease and confidence! 🔥

Evaluator's Feedback:

• Jan displayed remarkable confidence on stage with a complete lack of nervousness and maintained consistent, engaging eye contact with the crowd.

• His speech was quite consistent with the structure from the beginning until the end.

• Jan's speech was great, especially for an Icebreaker project, and effectively met the primary goal of introducing the speaker to the audience.

🦁💪 Self-Leadership
What do you consider as self-leadership?

Our Toastmaster of the Day, Berk, believes that it starts with self-awareness and knowledge of how to influence your emotions. He gave us a feast of useful tools for regulating your emotional state for successful self-leadership in life by raising the level of body chemicals.

Our audience had quite a hot-n-cold experience. First, we started with raising our dopamine and oxytocin levels by writing what we are grateful for and looking into another person's eyes for 2 minutes, and then changed to cortisol by answering some "generic" questions about Poland.

Of course, everyone had a fantastic time and a lot of fun! ✨️

👏 It was great to see Srijana as Table Topics Master! Despite some technical difficulties in the beginning, it was amazing how her questions challenged the speakers on stage and "raised their cortisol levels" in the process. Jokes aside, the audience was so engaged that we couldn't get enough of Table Topics session 🔥

🎙 A shoutout to Julia for taking the role of General Evaluator after a long break! Despite the demanding role, she did a wonderful job with evaluating how our meeting went 🙌

Huge thanks to Wall Street English Polska for hosting us in such a fantastic venue. We are grateful for a space where our community can continuously learn, grow, and succeed together 🌟

🌊✨ Flow Is Not Where You Learn

Do you usually wait until you catch the flow to start learning something new?

Last week we debunked common misconceptions about the flow, such as the idea that it doesn't occur while learning. Our Toastmaster of the Day, Markus, was taking us back to the time it was created to explain the true, intended meaning of 'flow'.

A huge round of applause goes to him, for introducing such fresh topic of the day on a short notice. In addition, Markus was leading our meeting with great confidence and captivating energy 💪✨️

🎙️A round of applause goes to Pia for delivering her role as Timer for the very first time! She did a wonderful job giving us thoughtful and clear feedback on our agenda follow-up and understanding of what can be improved further.

👏 In addition to counting the occurrence of filler words, Ah-Counter Bartosz was measuring how much time the speakers were on stage before they would utter their first "um" or "ah". Everyone was quite eager to learn about their result and got inspired to improve even further. Moreover, we got to know our 'favourite' filler words which is a valuable feedback for improving our public speaking skills 🔥

We are deeply thankful to Wall Street English Polska for providing us with such an amazing space, where we can continuously grow and thrive side by side 🤝

Last but definitely not the least, a lot of our gratitude goes to Tamás () for fantastic photos that he provided us with for this meeting 🙌
