🇵🇱 Mimo upałów i sezonu wakacyjnego mamy przyjemność zaprezentować nową publikację wydaną pod auspicjami naszej Katedry. 📌Link do strony wydawcy w komentarzu📌.
Samodzielne korzystanie z materiału gramatycznego ułatwiają tabele paradygmatów odmiany i wzory formacji gramatycznych zamieszczone w Aneksie.
Książka powstała w ramach przedsięwzięć dydaktycznych wspierających program African Studies w Katedrze Języków i Kultur Afryki.
🇬🇧 Despite the heat and the holiday season, we are pleased to present a new publication published under the auspices of our Department. 📌The link to the publisher's website is in the comments section📌.
Here are a few words from the author, especially for our followers:
The book "Hausa Grammar in Theory and Use" is a description of the structural features of Hausa, addressed to students and all those wishing to learn the language. It focuses on explaining the structural complexities, especially those that distinguish Hausa from common European languages and pose the greatest challenges in the practical application of grammatical rules.
The book's structure is based on the traditional division of grammatical topics into parts of speech, such as noun, verb, adjective, adverb, numeral, and particle. However, their descriptions are dominated not only by dictionary equivalents of individual word groups but also by various "strategies" for encoding their corresponding meanings. Verbless sentences occupy a special place, allowing for the creation of complete messages that are equivalent to sentences, structurally and semantically diverse. Independent use of the grammatical material is facilitated by the tables of inflection paradigms and grammatical formation patterns included in the Appendix.
This book was created as part of a teaching project supporting the African Studies program at the Department of African Languages and Cultures.
