The Centre was established to support Polish medieval studies in the following tasks:
· networking Polish medievalists and coordinating cooperation among research teams,
· introducing digital humanities within medieval studies,
· promoting Polish medieval research projects and publications abroad.

So far we have launched five major research projects:
· Monumenta Vaticana: a printed and digital edition of the documents concerning Poland created during the pontificates of Urban VI and Boniface IX housed in the Vatican Archives.
· Epistolae Ordinis Teutonici Sanctae Mariae: a printed and digital edition of the documents concerning Poland housed in the Archive of the Grand Masters of the Teutonic Order.
· Medieval Book Collections in the Polish Lands: publication of the first part of the catalogue of the medieval manuscripts from the former library of the Monastery of the Canons Regular of Saint Augustine in Żagań and a catalogue of the Dominican Order kept in the collection of Wrocław University Library.
· Corpus sigillorum Poloniae: a corpus of Polish medieval seals.
· Bibliography of Polish Medieval Studies: providing the International Medieval Bibliography with bibliographic records of the medieval publications released in Poland.

The future agenda includes creating a digital repository for medievalists, organising the Medieval Summer School, publishing a journal, collections of studies and monographs, and hosting conferences.

The Centre operates within the structure of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. Our research teams consist of medievalists from all over Poland and international partners. The Centre’s activities are supervised by the international Academic Board. The Centre is financed by the Polish Ministry of Science and Education as a project commissioned by the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

RETOPEA - Religious Toleration and Peace project continues to conduct the docutube workshops after the pandemic break. Soon it will also visit Warsaw to discuss religious toleration with Polish students!

Between 8-9 July Euro Arab Foundation, together with the Universidad de Granada and The Open University (United Kingdom), have organized a docutube workshop with young people from different countries to work, in a creative way, on the topics of religious tolerance and peace. This activity takes place within the framework of the activities that we are carrying out these months in different cities of the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Spain. On June 30th, 2021, the ESFRI Forum included RESILIENCE in the Research Infrastructure Roadmap 2021. This means that RESILIENCE will take its place in the strategic Research Infrastructures for the European Research Area and that it can work on the further development of the Research Infrastructure for Religious Studies.
