W walentynkowym tygodniu 😍 każdy z naszych uczniów mógł wylosować walentynkę 💌 z życzeniami. Wcześniej uczniowie tworzyli krótkie życzenia walentynkowe wrzucając je do specjalnego słoika🫙. W tym tygodniu każdy mógł poczuć się wyjątkowo 🥰

Jan Bosco, święty z Turynu, założyciel zakonu salezjanów. Na budowę świątyni przedstawionej na zdjęciach nie miał pieniędzy. Jednak gdy we śnie objawiła mu się Maryja i pokazała mu miejsce w którym spoczywają męczennicy z czasów Imperium Rzymskiego postanowił zbudować Kościół. Gdy wezwał architekta powiedział mu, że środki na pewno się znajdą. I tak było ludzie, którzy ofiarowali pieniądze na rzecz budowy Kościoła byli uzdrawiani oraz doznawali niesamowitych łask, także funduszy nigdy nie brakło. Jan Bosco za życia opiekował się ubogą młodzieżą, uzdrawiał chorych, a nawet wskrzesił zmarłego chłopca. Jego wychowankiem był m.in. Dominik Savio, którego ciało spoczywa obok w Bazylice Marii Wspomożycielki Wiernych w Turynie.

Saint Barbara: The Legendary Martyr
Saint Barbara is one of the most venerated saints in the Christian tradition, honored across South America, Asia, Europe, and the United States. Her story, preserved in legend, tells of a young woman of extraordinary beauty and faith who chose to dedicate her life to God despite the opposition of her family.

Barbara’s father, Dioscorus, promised her in marriage to the prefect of their city. Yet in her heart, Barbara had already resolved to consecrate herself to God. To protect her from admirers, Dioscorus confined her in a tower. One day, the building caught fire, but Barbara miraculously escaped unharmed. Despite her father’s insistence on marriage for political and social gain, she remained steadfast in her decision to reject worldly ties.

Enraged by her disobedience, Dioscorus denounced Barbara to the magistrates, invoking his authority as pater familias under Roman law. Barbara was imprisoned, tortured with hot irons, and humiliated by being paraded naked through the city. Yet miracles accompanied her suffering: her body was clothed by divine intervention, and the rods used to beat her transformed into delicate peacock feathers. Despite repeated escapes and miraculous protection, her fate was sealed. Ultimately, it was her own father who beheaded her. Immediately afterward, lightning struck him, reducing him to ashes—a sign of divine justice that forever linked Barbara with storms and sudden death.

Because of this, Saint Barbara became known as “Lady of Lightning.” She is revered as the patron saint of the navy, fire brigades, miners, artillerymen, and carpenters—those whose work places them in danger of sudden catastrophe. Her relics are said to rest in the Chapel of Saint Barbara in Burano, near Venice, brought there by Venetians in the 10th century from Constantinople. Tradition places her birth around 273 and her martyrdom around 306 in Nicomedia, an ancient city of Anatolia, now Izmit in modern-day Turkey.

Though her story is more legend than history, Saint Barbara’s courage, miracles, and enduring patronage have made her one of the most beloved figures in Christian devotion. Her feast day is celebrated on December 4, and she remains a symbol of faith, resilience, and divine protection against sudden peril.
