Coding with our own community in mind? Yesssssss! 🙌
42 Warsaw students traded their weekend for our first internal hackathon! The task was to build a dashboard using the 42 API that shows Common Core progress, so we can celebrate our learning wins and progress even better!

14 teams brainstormed on their own solutions, and after 24 hours of coding, pitched them to the jury.
The Jury consisting of:
✨ Magda Gołębiewska - our Community Manager,
✨ Hubert Januszek - Senior Software Engineer at Allegro
✨ Alina Pielaszkiewicz - our Pedago Lead

awarded 4 teams for their solutions, granting the 1st prize to 🎉 Dagem Thesay Alamrew and Cheguvera Bogale. 🎉 Congratulations!

Big applause also to the winners of 2nd prize (Natalia Demkiv & Michał Domański), 3rd prize (Debadeep Chaudhury & Philip Warda) and Special Award (Alban Biliette)! 👏

Huge thanks to everyone who participated! You're awesome! We already know that, but somehow we rediscover it every time.

We’re a partner of Codaro Coding Challenge II - a hackathon by Codaro.dev and Google Developers Group Warsaw, 20 August at Google for Startups Campus in Warsaw.

The format: you build the base of your app at home and arrive with something that already runs. At 16:00 the organizers announce who the system is actually for - part of your assumptions stops being true and you have three hours to rebuild the code live.

Every team gets free access to open-source models running on GPUs in the European Union, no per-person limits. Two panels run while teams are coding: „Who is responsible for code nobody wrote?” (16:30) and „Sovereignty as a product. Will the customer pay for it?” (18:00).

16 teams of 5 and 20 observer seats. The event is held in English.

We are proud and happy to announce that next edition of Discovery Piscine: Introduction to Python at 42 Warsaw takes place under the patronage of the Ministry of Digital Affairs (Ministerstwo Cyfryzacji )!

This patronage is an expression of support for initiatives that help people build and explore in technology.
