📢 W dniach 8-10 września br. w Karpaczu odbyło się ###V Forum Ekonomiczne, podczas którego Krajowa Reprezentacja Doktorantów była reprezentowana przez naszego Przewodniczącego. 🎓
👥 mgr inż. Rafał Ramut wziął udział w panelu „Co po doktoracie? Szanse i zagrożenia dla młodych naukowców”. W dyskusji wzięli udział również: dr Damian Syjczak, Zastępca Dyrektora Generalnego NAWA Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej oraz dr Milena Kowalska, Przewodnicząca Rada Młodych Naukowców.
W trakcie panelu poruszono kwestie istotne z perspektywy doktorantek, doktorantów i młodych naukowców, takie jak:
🔹 możliwości rozwoju kariery w nauce i poza środowiskiem akademickim,
🔹 stabilność zatrudnienia, finansowania, mobilności,
🔹 wykorzystywanie kompetencji zdobywanych podczas doktoratu w karierze zawodowej. 💬
Forum było także przestrzenią do kolejnych rozmów przedstawicieli KRD m.in. z Ministrem Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego dr. Marcin Kulasek, prof. Maria Mrówczyńska - Wiceminister Nauki oraz przedstawicielami kierownictwa NAWA i NCBR. Rozmowy te pozwalają na bezpośrednie przedstawianie potrzeb i perspektywy środowiska doktoranckiego podmiotom mającym wpływ na kierunki rozwoju nauki i szkolnictwa wyższego. 🤝

📢 The 35th Economic Forum took place in Karpacz from 8 to 10 September this year, during which the Polish National Association of Doctoral Candidates was represented by our President. 🎓
👥 Rafał Ramut, MSc Eng, took part in the panel discussion ‘What comes after a PhD? Opportunities and challenges for young researchers’. Also taking part in the discussion were: Dr Damian Syjczak, Deputy Director-General of NAWA (the National Agency for Academic Exchange), and Dr Milena Kowalska, President of the Council of Young Scientists.
During the panel, issues of significance from the perspective of doctoral candidates and young researchers were raised, such as:
🔹 career development opportunities in science and outside the academic environment,
🔹 stability of employment, funding and mobility,
🔹 utilising the skills acquired during a PhD in one’s professional career. 💬
The forum also provided a platform for further discussions between KRD representatives and, amongst others, the Minister for Science and Higher Education, Dr Marcin Kulasek; Prof. Maria Mrówczyńska, Deputy Minister for Science; and representatives of the management of NAWA and NCBR. These discussions enable the needs and perspectives of the doctoral community to be presented directly to those who influence the direction of development in science and higher education. 🤝
The Polish National Association of Doctoral Candidates actively participates in the debate on the future of young researchers, giving a voice to the doctoral community and taking action to address its needs. One such initiative is the ongoing project ‘Beyond the PhD – Your career during and after your PhD: in science and beyond’, which supports doctoral candidates in making informed plans for their future careers. 🎓
Thank you very much for inviting us to the event and for the extremely substantive debate, for the discussions on doctoral candidates, responsible shaping of research policy, the development of Polish science, and the future of the doctoral candidate community. 🏛️
