📣Workshop ahead! Invitation to join online 💻

👩‍🏫"Towards Establishing Best Practices in Documenting Textile Imprints on Clay" – a hands-on workshop in Warsaw organised by the ExplorTIC Project – aims to advance documentation procedures and research protocols for textile imprints on clay 👩‍🔬 Abstract below ⬇️

📅WHEN: Monday, December 8th, 2025
🌐WHERE: online via Zoom (link below)
⏰WHAT TIME: 10:00-18:00 CEST

🔎During the workshop, we will work towards formulating best practices for the study of imprints, taking into account their specific characteristics (fragility, high three-dimensionality, alterations caused by pressure, challenges in identifying raw materials and production techniques, etc.), as well as issues related to digital documentation (3D scanning, photogrammetry, RTI). A hands-on session will offer an overview of techniques for making modern casts and impressions directly from archaeological textile imprints on clay, and will support the formulation of a decision-making strategy for taking positive imprints.
