Shaping tomorrow’s space research: the impressive journey of a young aerospace engineer 🚀
From young age, Julia Stankiewicz has been fascinated by the Hubble Space Telescope. Today, the 30-year-old has already studied and conducted research in six countries, worked at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration on tools for disaster monitoring, and is now, as a trainee at ESA - European Space Agency, designing components for the future ‘Lunar Gateway’ station.
A DAAD scholarship supported the young researcher as she took her first steps in her career. She has now launched a scholarship programme to support the next generation of Polish students with a passion for space on their path to success.
Be inspired by Julia Stankiewicz’s story in the current issue of our DAAD alumni magazine, Letter. You can find the full article right here: ➡️ https://www.letter-daad.de/en/space/shaping-tomorrows-space-research/
