Last Wednesday we held an Open Café session on the topic of stereotypes.

We explore this topic through fun and interactive workshops.
In groups, our participants brainstorm, exchange and reflect on: gender stereotypes, cultural stereotypes and socioeconomic stereotypes. To continue the reflection and group thinking on this subject our next activity has been a shifting debate. This shifting debate has the purpose to make our guests choose a side and defend it through a small debate. Here are some examples of questions from our shifting debate,
- Stereotypes help us to know what to expect from people
- Gender stereotypes come from real facts
- Most of the cultural stereotypes are right
Over this edition, we wanted to talk, exchange and improve our knowledge of stereotypes. And of course, having fun and encountering new individuals.

Open Cafe in Paredes, Debrecen and Castellon kicks off!

Here we go! Take a look at a few pictures from the Open Cafe editions that have started for the first time in Debrecen (Hungary), Castellon (Spain) and Paredes (Portugal)! The events will continue regularly from now on till February, at least! Visit partner's pages and learn more about when and where the events take place.

Meanwhile, we are working on the manual and video tutorials for you to get inspired and start hosting the events by yourself. Stay tuned!

Midterm meeting in Paredes

On September 21st and 22nd, 2021 we meet again in our coordinator's team for the second project partners meeting in Paredes, Portugal!

The meeting was about evaluating what we have achieved until now and how we can manage the project realization smoothly regardless of difficult times. We spoke about how Open Cafe events have been doing so far in our communities as well as we focused a lot on developing a work plan for producing the intellectual outputs. It was two, very intensive and productive days.

Last week INPRO hosted in Rzeszow a new training course on how to organize Open Cafe events. The guests from partner organizations from KÖZ-Pont Ifjúsági Egyesület in Hungary, Associação Nó Górdio from Portugal and Dideas Desarrollo Personas from Spain came to Poland for a week to learn more because they want to introduce this format in their communities. 🙂 The activity was organized as part of our project "Borderless Dialogue: Social Integration through Non-Formal Education and it was funded by the Erasmus Plus.

The 28th of July was a very special day for us! In an inspiring space of Urban Lab Rzeszów we hosted our networking seminar on how to build local communities. During the event, we shared the results of the project "Social integration through informal Dialogue" as well as we discussed what makes events like Open Café successful. Thank you all for joining us! The meeting was funded by Erasmus+.
