Our club is an university-based one, so the following meeting title 'How to live university life brightly'? aroused the curiosity of club members and guests.
On 10 March our Toastmaster of the Day, Karolina Porzuczek, conducted a discussion on student life and gave students pieces of advice such as:
💜 it is a good idea try new learning methods by using tools such as canva (a place where you can create interesting graphic designs, presentations...), quizlet for creating online flashcards or kahoot ( a tool used by many people to create online tests),
💜 cooking can be a great way to relax after or between classes at university,
🩵 General advice from Karolina? Take advantage of student life - meet new people, get involved in extra projects and travel (for example via student exchanges).

Our members like travelling and are cooperative. There was a good example of inter-club cooperation on March 5 - on that day our President, Olga Ludera, visited a club from Kraków (Toastmasters Kraków).
On March 5 Toastmasters Kraków actually joined forces with Toastmasters PK - Klub Mówców i Liderów, which resulted in an unforgettable show. But most importantly...not only did Olga listen to her friends from Kraków, but she also conducted a meeting there!
On Wednesday Olga and Wojciech Wolski were Toastmasters of the Day and it cannot be denied that this duo was in a good mood during the meeting :D

On March 3 we experienced a very important meeting about evaluations. How to become a BOSS of evaluations? During the reunion, the Toastmaster of the Day, Mateusz Ryba, shared his tips, thoughts gathered through his TM travels and conversations with numerous Toastmasters. 💜
When evaluating someone's speech, it is important to:
- be precise, the person being evaluated must know exactly what he/she did well and where there is room for improvement,
- be objective,
- smile :D 'Nothing you wear is more important than your smile' - Connie Stevens (an American actress),
- it is recommended that an evaluation has a clear structure (introduction, main body and conclusion),
- initially focus on one/two things that the person being evaluated can improve - this is particularly important for those Toastmasters who are taking their first steps in public speaking.
One popular method of providing feedback was also discussed (the FUKO Method). Where does this acronym come from? 😃
F as in facts (in Polish: fakty) - presenting facts in a neutral manner,
U - feelings (PL: uczucia) - expressing emotions related to a speaker's behavior,
K - consequences (PL: konsekwencje) - How the speaker's behavior/attitude can affect other Toastmasters?,
o - expectations (oczekiwania) - What do you expect from the speaker?
The art of evaluation is difficult, that goes without saying. However, thanks to such meetings we can improve the level of our evaluations. 😀

There was a reunion of our club on March 3 - this time the shining star was Mateusz Ryba. He performed as the Toastmaster of that Monday and the evaluator of an ice-breaker.
The ice-breaker (about the importance of reading and constant learning) prepared by Krystian Urban and a speech about club coaching (!) by Monika Szlachta (Pionier Rzeszów Toastmasters) were definitely the crème de la crème of our last meeting. 🍮
Let's also appreciate the work of our other functionists:
Dariusz Walat (Pionier Rzeszów Toastmasters) - General Evaluator,
Kacper Burnat - Timer,
Martyna Roga - Ah-counter,
Paweł Kudyba - Grammarian,
Karolina Porzuczek - Speech Evaluator (of the Monika Szlachta's speech),
Bartosz Winczowski - Table Topics Master.
The best Table Topics speakers were: Szymon Bal and Bartosz Dzwolak, whereas the best performers of March 3 were: Krystian Urban, Monika Szlachta and Mateusz Ryba. 🌻
Kudos to you all:)
