ERASMUS + project "On the travel trail of selected EU countries"

On March 8, 2024, an event related to the ERASMUS + project "Travel route of selected EU countries" took place at our school.
ABOUT THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAM IN GENERAL
The ERASMUS + program, whose name refers to the name of Erasmus of Rotterdam, was established on June 15, 1987 with the aim of promoting and facilitating student exchanges between universities in the European Community. In the years 1995 - 2006, Erasmus became part of the then-created SOCRATES community program, supporting international cooperation in the field of education.
In the years 2007 - 2013, Erasmus became part of the new educational program "Lifelong Learning", and since 2014 it has been operating under the name ERASMUS +.
The overall goal of the ERASMUS + program is to raise the level of education and strengthen its European dimension in education by developing international cooperation between institutions from all over Europe. Its aim is to support pupils, students, teachers, lecturers and volunteers in conducting international projects aimed at improving competences.
The ERASMUS + program has been organized in our school since December 2022, and its coordinator is Mr. Michał Tabor.
Our students of grades 1 and 2 first drew and then prepared regional dishes and interesting facts related to the selected European Union country participating in the ERASMUS + program.

Projekt ERASMUS + Szlakiem podróży wybranych krajów UE.

Serdecznie zapraszamy Dyrekcję, nauczycieli i wszystkich uczniów naszej szkoły w dniu 08.03.2024 r. w godzinach od 11:00 do 11:20 do sali S1 i S2 na przygotowaną przez uczniów klas 1 i 2 prezentację państw biorących udział w Projekcie ERASMUS + Szlakiem podróży wybranych krajów UE. Podczas wydarzenia będzie można skosztować regionalnych dań wybranych krajów UE.

Our teachers: Ms. Emilia Chodak, Ms. Bernadetta Jakubowska and Ms. Ilona Rzepkowska, took part in an English course in Malta from October 30 to November 3, 2023 as part of the Erasmus + program.
The main coordinator of the project is Mr. Michał Tabor, an English teacher.
The idea of the program is to promote cultural events of the 3rd Secondary School related to the EU and to promote pro-European attitudes. The purpose of the trip was an English language course and exchange of experiences.
The teachers spent their mornings intensively learning English during their week-long stay.
After studying, the free time was used to visit Malta, which is famous for many historical monuments related to the rule of the Order of the Knights of Malta and Great Britain.
Our teachers had the pleasure of visiting the capital of Malta - Valletta, which is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as it has over 300 monuments, including: Triton's Fountain, Rjal Theater - Pjazza, Parliament of Malta, St. Peter's Cathedral. John the Baptist, National Library in Valletta, Grand Master's Palace, Anglican Pro-Cathedral of St. Paweł and beautiful streets that hide numerous stories.
The next place to visit was Sliema, which, next to St. Julian's, is considered the tourist and entertainment center of Malta due to its resort and the over 3-kilometer seaside Promenade, as well as the best view of the capital Valletta, located on the other side of the port. Another interesting place is Cat Island.
The next attraction and place worth visiting was Mdina, located in the very heart of Malta and its former capital, also called the city of silence. It includes Mdina Gate - a beautiful entrance gate, Pallazzo Vilhena, the beautiful Cathedral of St. Paweł and its narrow and charming streets. It is worth mentioning that Mdina appeared in a series such as "Game of Thrones".
Our permanent residence was St Julian's along Spinola Bay, where our Executive Training Institute (ETI) was located in the Paceville district. It is a bustling city visited by Maltese residents and tourists from all over the world. It is home to the best restaurants in Malta, exclusive hotels and is famous for its largest party district, Paceville.
Places worth visiting were Spinola Palace, Dragonara Palace, Portomaso Buisness Tower (skyscraper), Mercury Tower, Ballutta Bay Beach, St George's Bay.

The beautiful and sunny weather was perfect for walking and exploring the immediate area and beyond, as well as getting to know the culture of Malta, including delicious cuisine.
The national dish of Malta is fennec, i.e. rabbit, and traditional Maltese sandwiches - firy or various types of fish and seafood, or Maltese cheeses, such as gbejniet, and among the Maltese sweets we can mention kannoli. A drink worth trying is Kinnie, a drink based on herbs and bitter oranges. The taste of Maltese fruit was a surprise for us.
At the end of the course, the teachers received certificates.
The acquired knowledge will be used in work with students and passed on to other teachers.

Our wonderful teachers: Mrs Anna Maziarska, Mrs Małgorzata Płowiec, Mr Michał Tabor, Mrs Agnieszka Ficek, Mrs Małgorzata Wachowicz and Mrs Nina Sienkiewicz. completed their Erasmus+ educational adventure in Madrid. Mr Michał Tabor is the project's main coordinator. The teachers received certificates confirming the skills which they had acquired during the international courses.

🧘‍♀️💭 Mindfulness and Wellbeing in the Classroom
A fundamental part of each of these courses is the concept of : the historical and cultural context of Madrid, which enables our brilliant teachers to create valuable lesson content for their students in Poland. The teachers, of course, explored the Spanish capital, discovering Madrid's history from the Habsburg era, visiting the world-famous Prado museum and travelling to the ancient Visigoth capital of Toledo.

A group of teachers from the 'Mindfulness and Wellbeing in the Classroom' course broadened their understanding of wellbeing in the classroom, which is considered as a pillar to support the educational process. What is more, the teachers improved their techniques for implementing effective strategies (mindfulness, emotional awareness, self-expression, mind and body, etc.) which will improve learning and also have a positive impact on relationships in the school community.
A group of teachers from the 'English for Teachers' course worked on a range of topics within Spanish culture, bringing the context of the city of Madrid into lessons and applying the skills learned in class to real-life situations.
We are proud to have gained such a vast and professional knowledge, which will be an essential tool for introducing innovative elements in our lessons. Moreover, we hope the mindfulness aspect will become a permanent feature in our classes with young people. In this way, we will demonstrate European competences in modern teaching.

ERASMUS+ teachers’ project - „Emotional Intelligence”
Lisbon - September 2023
Lisbon greeted us – Katarzyna Wesołowska and Agnieszka Bednarczyk, two teachers of English from III Colonel Czachowski Grammar School in Radom, with summer weather and full sunshine. After accommodating, we started exploring the neighbourhood and the city centre. The next day, we went to Cascais – a tourist attraction on a train ride from Lisbon. In the evening we finally met our mentor and trainer - Filipa Marques, and four other participants of the course – two ladies from Finland (Anne and Taija) and two girls from Bulgaria (Alexandriya and Janet). We had an official welcome dinner consisting of typical Portuguese dishes and desserts. Yummy!
Starting from Monday, we followed a routine of having training sessions from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in a hotel walking distance away from our accommodation place and doing sightseeing in the afternoons and evenings. Every day, Filippa greeted us with a big smile on her face, some good words, and a bunch of theoretical information on emotional intelligence combined with some practice. She was well-prepared and eager to get us involved in the process of training as much as possible. Every morning, we were told a short story by Filipa to illustrate what she would teach us that day. We were also shown how to bring some aspects of the vast knowledge of emotional intelligence into the classroom. The practical part of the training gave us a lot to think about, not only in the context of our work but also in personal aspects. To our surprise, there were some tough moments to deal with. We also had some dancing warm-ups Anne gave us, especially in a critical moment of feeling sleepy.
In the afternoons we had a unique opportunity to do Lisbon sightseeing the way we felt right. One day, we were taken on an hour-long tour of Lisbon by tuk-tuks. It turns out that tuk-tuks are pretty popular in Lisbon as a tourist attraction. Once, the four of us – the Polish and the Finnish teachers - took a trip to Sintra, where we got lucky enough to be led by a history professor who introduced us to the story of founding Sintra. As participants in the Emotional Intelligence project, we got a voucher for a free boat cruise, bus ride tours as well as tram tours.
Our final day of emotional intelligence training ended with the official photos, receiving certificates, making Porto farewell toast, hugs, and wishes.
Lisbon bid us goodbye with a beautiful, pink sunrise as our flight took off from Humberto Delgado Airport around 7:20 a.m.

On September 24-30, three teachers from our school: Marta Antoniak, Wisława Frydrych and Dorota Haber-Niedzielska stayed as part of the Erasmus+ project 🇪🇺 in Vienna, the capital of Austria 🇦🇹. 👉The idea of the program is to promote awareness and knowledge about the European Union. 👉The purpose of the trip was to observe the functioning of the school in Austria
and mutual exchange of experiences.
👉The teachers observed work in two schools: Piaristengymnasium and Mittelschule Musisch-kreativ.
School visits were an opportunity to meet principals, teachers and their students, as well as to visit various classes during lessons.
Lesson observations were carried out, among others, during music, German, French and English classes. The students behaved very freely during the observed classes and were not disturbed by the presence of teachers from another country.
Teachers shared their experiences in organizing classes integrating a group of culturally diverse students.
The visited schools were modern, equipped with workshops adapted to the needs of education and developing students' skills and creativity.

W dniach 24-30 września trzy nauczycielki naszej szkoły: Marta Antoniak, Wisława Frydrych oraz Dorota Haber-Niedzielska przebywały w ramach projektu Erasmus+ 🇪🇺 w Wiedniu, stolicy Austrii 🇦🇹.
Ideą programu jest promowanie świadomości i wiedzy o Unii Europejskiej. 👉Celem wyjazdu była obserwacja funkcjonowania szkoły w Austrii
i wzajemna wymiana doświadczeń.
👉Nauczycielki obserwowały pracę w dwóch szkołach: Piaristengymnasium oraz Mittelschule musisch-kreativ.
Wizyty w szkołach były okazją do spotkań z dyrektorami, uczącymi nauczycielami i ich podopiecznymi, a także do odwiedzin w różnych klasach podczas odbywających się lekcji.
Obserwacje lekcji prowadzono m. in. podczas zajęć muzyki, j. niemieckiego, j. francuskiego, j. angielskiego. Uczniowie bardzo swobodnie zachowywali się podczas obserwowanych zajęć, nie peszyła ich obecność nauczycielek z innego kraju.
Nauczyciele podzielili się swoimi doświadczeniami w organizacji zajęć integrujących grupę uczniów różnorodną kulturowo.
Odwiedzane szkoły były nowoczesne, wyposażone w pracownie dostosowane do potrzeb kształcenia oraz rozwijania umiejętności i kreatywności uczniów.
😎Czas wolny został wykorzystany na aktywne poznawanie Wiednia, który słynie z wielu zabytków związanych z rodziną Habsburgów, m. in. Hofburg i Schönbrunn.
Szczególnym miejscem w Wiedniu jest wzgórze Kahlenberg, na którym znajduje się sanktuarium Jana III Sobieskiego upamiętniające odsiecz wiedeńską z 1683 r.
Ciekawostką tego wzgórza są również urokliwe winnice w miejscowości Grinzing🍷🍇.
Piękna pogoda sprzyjała spacerom, zwiedzaniu oraz zapoznawaniu się z kulturą Austrii, w tym między innymi z przepyszną kuchnią.
Ciekawym doświadczeniem była wizyta na targu Naschmarkt i kiermaszu produktów regionalnych “Waldviertel pur”.
👉Zdobyta wiedza zostanie wykorzystana w pracy z uczniami oraz przekazana innym nauczycielom.
👉Podróż do Austrii odbyła się zielonym transportem 🚈🛤- pociąg z Polski do Wiednia oraz z powrotem. W czasie pobytu w stolicy korzystano z komunikacji miejskiej, która jest bardzo dogodna.
📸Wszystkie pozytywne aspekty podróży można podziwiać na zdjęciach.

On September 18-22, three teachers from our school: Magdalena Makarska, Marlena Skowrońska and Urszula Staniewska stayed as part of the Erasmus+ project in Latvia in Aloja.
Lesson observations were carried out during Technology, History, Computer Science classes and three English lessons. The students behaved very freely during their classes and were not disturbed by the presence of teachers from another country. They started conversations with them, joked and asked what learning was like in Polish schools.

Beautiful weather was conducive to walking, sightseeing and learning about Latvian culture, including delicious cuisine. All positive aspects of our teachers' journeys can be admired in the photos :).

The trip to Latvia took place thanks to the above-mentioned Erasmus+.

The teachers promoted green transport by traveling from Poland to Latvia and back by bus. As well as traveling between the visited towns.
The project coordinator was the English teacher, Mr. Michał Tabor.

W dniach 18-22 września trzy nauczycielki naszej szkoły: Magdalena Makarska, Marlena Skowrońska oraz Urszula Staniewska przebywały w ramach projektu Erasmus+ na Łotwie w miejscowości Aloja.
Obserwacje lekcji prowadzono podczas zajęć Techniki, Historii, Informatyki oraz na 3 lekcjach Języka Angielskiego. Uczniowie bardzo swobodnie zachowywali się podczas swoich zajęć, nie peszyła ich obecność nauczycielek z innego kraju. Nawiązywali z nimi rozmowy, żartowali oraz podpytywali, jak wygląda nauka w polskich szkołach.
W czasie jednej z lekcji angielskiego, nasze nauczycielki pokazały prezentacje dotyczące naszej szkoły przygotowane przez uczniów klasy 3g, których wychowawcą jest p. Urszula Staniewska.
Szkoła, która gościła Panie Profesorki była bardzo nowoczesna. Piękne sale, kuchnia dla młodzieży, ogromne zielone przestrzenie dookoła, zielona sala lekcyjna na dworze - to tylko niektóre zalety łotewskiej szkoły.
W trakcie pobytu w Aloji oprócz obserwacji lekcji, Pani Ula, Marlena oraz Magda zostały zaangażowane w grę miejską połączoną z obchodami Święta patrona szkoły. Dodatkowo zostały zaproszone na wieczór poezji. W trakcie którego wysłuchały kilku wierszy oraz piosenek. Ponadto p. Profesor Urszula Staniewska - polonistka wyrecytowała jedną z fraszek J. Kochanowskiego. P. Marlena Skowrońska jako specjalistka w swojej dziedzinie przełożyła na język angielski ową fraszkę aby nasi łotewscy gospodarze zrozumieli jej sens.
W trakcie kilku dni pobytu w Aloji nasze nauczycielki zostały oprowadzane po małej ale bardzo urokliwej okolicy.
Czas wolny nasze profesorki poświęciły na aktywne zwiedzanie Rygi, Aloji, Valmiery oraz Cesis.
Aktywnie liczyły kroki każdego dnia, średnio było ich w granicach 17tys. 🙂🙂
Piękna pogoda sprzyjała spacerom, zwiedzaniu oraz zapoznawaniu się z kulturą łotewską, w tym między innymi przepyszną kuchnią. Wszystkie pozytywne aspekty podróży naszych nauczycielek można podziwiać na zdjęciach🙂.

Wyjazd na Łotwę odbył się dzięki wspomnianemu Erasmus +.

Nauczycielki promowały zielony transport, podróżując autokarem z Polski na Łotwę oraz z powrotem. Jak również podróżując między zwiedzanymi miejscowościami.
