🌍 Islandia z Erasmus+ – rozwój, inspiracja i międzykulturowość
Niedawno miałam przyjemność uczestniczyć w kursie Erasmus+ pt. „Structured Educational Visit to Schools & Training Seminars in Iceland”, organizowanym przez English Matters w Reykjaviku.
Był to bardzo intensywny, 7-dniowy program szkoleniowy skierowany do nauczycieli z całej Europy, którego celem było poznanie systemu edukacji w Islandii oraz zgłębienie jego kulturowego kontekstu. W programie znalazły się m.in.: wizyty studyjne w szkołach, seminaria tematyczne, warsztaty metodyczne, a także projekty terenowe „Contexts4Content”, odbywające się w miejscach o szczególnym znaczeniu przyrodniczym i historycznym, takich jak the Golden Circle, Þingvellir, plaża Reynisfjara oraz wodospad Skógafoss.
Szczególną wartością kursu była możliwość bezpośredniego kontaktu z nauczycielami z różnych krajów, wymiany doświadczeń i inspiracji, a także wspólna refleksja nad kierunkami rozwoju edukacji w Europie. To doświadczenie pozwala spojrzeć na własną praktykę zawodową z nowej perspektywy oraz wzbogaca warsztat pracy nauczyciela o świeże, sprawdzone rozwiązania.
Udział w takim kursie to nie tylko rozwój kompetencji indywidualnych, ale także realna korzyść dla całej szkoły – poprzez wdrażanie innowacyjnych metod, promowanie otwartości kulturowej i budowanie europejskiego wymiaru edukacji.

🌍 Iceland with Erasmus+ – growth, inspiration, and intercultural exchange
I recently had the pleasure of participating in an Erasmus+ course entitled “Structured Educational Visit to Schools & Training Seminars in Iceland”, organized by English Matters in Reykjavík.
This intensive 7-day training programme, aimed at teachers from across Europe, focused on learning about the Icelandic education system and exploring it within its cultural context. The programme included school visits, thematic seminars, methodological workshops, and inspiring field projects called “Contexts4Content”, held in places of exceptional natural and historical significance such as the Golden Circle, Þingvellir, Reynisfjara beach, and Skógafoss waterfall.
One of the greatest values of the course was the opportunity for direct interaction with teachers from various countries, the exchange of experiences and ideas, and collective reflection on the future of education in Europe. This experience allows us to view our own teaching practices from a new perspective and enriches our professional toolkit with fresh, proven solutions.
Participating in such a course contributes not only to the development of individual competences, but also brings tangible benefits to the entire school – by implementing innovative methods, promoting cultural openness, and strengthening the European dimension of education.
