Urban Mosaic explores the creative lives of people who moved to Poznań from afar and brought new energy to the city. They are dancers, musicians, cooks, barbers, painters, and photographers — discovering their passions and building a home through creativity. Their bodies become their homes; their art, their voice, story, struggles, and joy. This exhibition tells a story about the city through the stories of its residents.

We are delighted to invite you to our student conference “The City of the Future”, taking place from November 21–23, 2025 in Giessen, Germany.

Over the course of three days, you will gain insights into different aspects of the “City of the Future.” You will work collaboratively in small groups, guided by experts, to develop your own innovative ideas. Together, we will bridge the future and the present by combining our insights to create visionary concepts for tomorrow's city.

Program overview: Friday 1:30 PM – Sunday 1:00 PM

Friday: A thematic introduction to the “City of the Future” and opportunities to get to know one another. Students are also welcome to contribute short, voluntary Calls for Participation.

Saturday: Inspiring talks and impulses will provide the foundation for developing your own ideas and final projects in teams.

Sunday: Presentation of the results to fellow participants and joint conclusion of the conference.

Last Friday our students went to Warsaw!✨

We visited three important cultural institutions: the State Ethnographic Museum (PME), the CSW Ujazdowski Castle and the Museum of Modern Art, where we saw exhibitions of Polish and African photography and collections of contemporary art. After the exhibition of Ernest Cole's photography at the PME, we were shown around by the curator of the exhibition, Julia Grudzień, and at the Ujazdowski Castle we were received by Julian Tomala, who showed us around the archives of the institution together with employees of the audiovisual and artistic documentation departments, Piotr Woźniakiewicz, Monika Marchewka and Małgorzata Czyżewska. It was an intensive and extremely successful trip, full of art and interesting discussions!🌟

W zeszłym tygodniu studenci pierwszego roku Liberal Arts and Sciences zakończyli zajęcia z Theory of Knowledge wyjątkowym akcentem – debatą oksfordzką! 🎙️ Temat brzmiał: „Czy nauka powinna mieć etyczne i moralne ograniczenia?”. 💡 Zaangażowanie i energia, które towarzyszyły dyskusji, zrobiły ogromne wrażenie. 👏 Jak myślicie, czy nauka powinna mieć takie granice? 🤔

Last week, first-year Liberal Arts and Sciences students wrapped up their Theory of Knowledge classes with a special highlight – an Oxford debate! 🎙️ The topic was: “Should science have ethical and moral limitations?” 💡 The energy and engagement during the discussion were truly impressive. 👏 What do you think – should science have such boundaries? 🤔
