It was an engaging Earth Day for everyone at IMA and MFSB!

🌱Planting.
🧹Cleaning our environment.
♻️Recycling and upcycling.
🐝Polinator shelters

👕Our Lower Elementary students at IMA took part in a charity action once again. This time, they checked their wardrobes and packed clothes that were either too small or no longer needed. We donated everything using a new InPost option — quick, simple, and a great way to combine sustainability with kindness.

🧑‍🍳Our Upper Elementary students at MFSB joined a healthy cooking contest. Each team received the same ingredients and the same tools, then created their own original dishes. The judges assessed teamwork, grace and courtesy, cleanliness, creativity, and food presentation — and the energy was amazing. It was truly exciting to watch!

👕Uczniowie klas Lower Elementary w IMA po raz kolejny wzięli udział w akcji charytatywnej. Tym razem przejrzeli swoje szafy i spakowali ubrania, które były już za małe lub niepotrzebne. Wszystko przekazaliśmy na cele charytatywne, korzystając z nowej opcji InPost — szybko, prosto łącząc troskę o środowisko z życzliwością.

🧑‍🍳Uczniowie Upper Elementary w MFSB wzięli udział w konkursie zdrowego gotowania. Każda drużyna otrzymała te same składniki i te same narzędzia, a następnie przygotowała własne, autorskie dania. Jury oceniało: współpracę, kulturę osobistą i uprzejmość, czystość, kreatywność oraz sposób podania — a energia drużyn była niesamowita.

Nasze świętowanie **Dnia Ziemi** już się rozpoczęło. Last night dads of our students took part in Gentlemen’s Night… they were throwing axes.
Sounds “tough-guy,” right? But here’s what we actually see when we look at the fathers in our community.

Yes, they can be strong and fearless. But their real strength shows up in a different way: in patience, in presence, in the way they try to understand their child’s needs instead of expecting the child to “toughen up.” These are compassionate dads who believe in a holistic approach to education—supporting not only learning, but also emotions, relationships, confidence, and wellbeing.

Let’s clear one stereotype: great fathers aren’t invincible. They’re involved. They listen. They show up. And that kind of strength is what children remember for life.

Wczoraj Tatusiowie naszych uczniów wzięli udział w Gentlemen’s Night… czyli rzucali siekierami 😮
Brzmi jak „ zawody dla twardzieli”, prawda? A jednak, kiedy patrzymy na ojców w naszej społeczności, widzimy coś zupełnie innego.

Tak — potrafią być silni i odważni. Ale ich prawdziwa siła objawia się gdzie indziej: w cierpliwości, w obecności, w tym, że próbują zrozumieć potrzeby swojego dziecka, zamiast oczekiwać, że dziecko po prostu „będzie twardsze”. To empatyczni ojcowie, którzy wierzą w holistyczne podejście do edukacji — wspierające nie tylko naukę, ale też emocje, relacje, pewność siebie i dobrostan.

Obalmy jeden stereotyp: najlepsi ojcowie nie muszą być „twardzi”. Są zaangażowani. Słuchają. Są obok. A właśnie taką siłę dzieci pamiętają przez całe życie.

In a Montessori preschool, children explore the world in a holistic and very hands-on way—through experience, observation, and working with materials. Biology, geography, and history appear naturally in our everyday activities: during circle time, in conversations, through projects, and on outdoor trips that allow children to “touch” knowledge and see it in the real world.

Today we went on a trip to the Natural History Museum to see up close the animals we have been discussing recently during circle time. We began our visit in the invertebrates section, and then admired many interesting species of fish, mammals, and reptiles. The opportunity to observe wild animals from up close made a huge impression on the children—especially the impressive size of some of the specimens.

In the final part of our visit, we went to the skeletons hall, where we could see equally fascinating exhibits. During the trip, we learned many interesting facts about the animals presented in the museum, and at the same time reinforced the knowledge we have been building over the past weeks. It was a beautiful, real-life biology lesson—and we’re sure these impressions will stay with us for a long time.

W przedszkolu Montessori dzieci poznają świat w sposób całościowy i bardzo konkretny — przez doświadczenie, obserwację i pracę z materiałem. Biologia, geografia i historia pojawiają się u nas naturalnie w codziennych aktywnościach: na kręgach, w rozmowach, w projektach oraz podczas wyjść terenowych, które pozwalają „dotknąć” wiedzy i zobaczyć ją w realnym świecie.

Dziś wybraliśmy się na wycieczkę do Muzeum Przyrodniczego, aby z bliska zobaczyć zwierzęta, o których rozmawialiśmy ostatnio na kręgach. Zwiedzanie rozpoczęliśmy od działu bezkręgowców, a następnie podziwialiśmy wiele interesujących gatunków ryb, ssaków i gadów. Możliwość obserwacji dzikich zwierząt z bliska zrobiła na dzieciach ogromne wrażenie — szczególnie imponujące rozmiary niektórych okazów.

W ostatniej części wizyty udaliśmy się do sali ze szkieletami, gdzie czekały na nas równie fascynujące eksponaty. Podczas wycieczki poznaliśmy wiele ciekawostek na temat zwierząt prezentowanych w Muzeum, a jednocześnie utrwaliliśmy wiedzę zdobywaną przez ostatnie tygodnie. To była piękna lekcja biologii w praktyce — i jesteśmy pewni, że te wrażenia zostaną z nami na długo.

Cooking in the Montessori Classroom: Culture, Health, and Real Science

In a Montessori classroom cooking It’s culture, community, and a meaningful way to connect children and adolescents with real life.

Through food, students explore traditions, language, and the joy of sharing something made with their own hands. At the same time, they learn to make healthy choices, understand ingredients, and build independence through a process they can repeat at home.

Cooking is also one of the most complete Practical Life activities: children learn how to prepare their workspace, organise tools and ingredients, follow a sequence of steps, and clean up with care. They practice order, concentration, coordination, and responsibility—because in a real kitchen, every step matters.

And the learning goes far beyond Practical Life. Cooking naturally becomes mathematics (measuring, proportions, timing), chemistry and physics (heat, melting, mixing, changing states), biology (nutrition, digestion, energy), and an introduction to how the human body responds to what we eat.

Mokronos Campus: Spanish Club

Today at our Mokronos Campus, students prepared Spanish specialities during Spanish Club. Our Mexican friend Mariana introduced us to a popular, simple snack: *quesadilla*. It was a beautiful example of how food can bring language to life—learning vocabulary, practising communication, and experiencing culture in the most hands-on way.

Brzezina Campus: Adolescents and Food Awareness

At our Brzezina campus, our adolescent group had the opportunity to go deeper into food processing, diet, and healthy choices.

We talked about how milk is pasteurised and the difference between raw, pasteurised, and UHT (ultra-high temperature) milk.

We also explored the difference between table sugar, fructose, and honey—how the body uses each one, and why it’s healthier to eat whole fruit than to drink fruit juice.

We discussed glycaemic indexes of different products, especially flours, and how to exchange ingredients for healthier options—for example, choosing oat flour instead of wheat flour, and using fruit instead of added sugar.

Cooking in Montessori is education that stays with students for life: practical, scientific, cultural, and deeply human.

One week in our Montessori preschool is a real educational journey. Our 3–6-year-olds explore geography, biology, science, advanced mathematics, and the foundations of reading and writing—through hands-on materials, movement, and real-life experiences.

Why do we teach so much so early? Because early childhood is guided by *sensitive periods*—special windows of development when children absorb specific skills with incredible ease and joy. When we recognize these moments and offer the right activities at the right time, learning feels natural, not forced.

This is why Montessori works: we don’t rush children—we follow their readiness, protect their curiosity, and make sure these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for development are not missed.
