Dr. Chkhikvadze brings extensive training in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, gastroenterology, and hepatology, including advanced endoscopy training at NYU Langone Health and a Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.

Her expertise includes EUS, ERCP, complex polypectomy, EMR, endoscopic suturing, interventional EUS, complex pancreatobiliary care, and other minimally invasive endoscopic procedures.

Passionate about expanding access to advanced gastrointestinal care, Dr. Chkhikvadze looks forward to advancing early detection and treatment while helping build a comprehensive advanced endoscopy program for the Brooklyn community.

👏🏻 We are pleased to inform you that Prof. Dr. hab. med. and n. o zdr. Karol Rawicz-Pruszyński from the Oncology Surgery Clinic has become the first Polish laureate of the American Surgical Society’s Professor Sir Murray Brennane Scholarship in history.

The award, named after the prominent American surgeon and long-time director of the Oncology Surgery Clinic at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, is associated with the opportunity to participate in the most important events and to conduct a study visit at one of the leading oncology surgery centers in the United States.

Thanks to the scholarship, Prof. will be a guest of honor at the September American College of Surgeons Congress in Washington. As part of the program, he will also have a study visit at the Johns Hopkins University Gastrointestinal Surgery Clinic in Baltimore – one of the most renowned American centers specializing in oncology surgery.

👏🏻 Miło nam poinformować, że prof. dr hab. med. i n. o zdr. Karol Rawicz-Pruszyński z Kliniki Chirurgii Onkologicznej został pierwszym w historii polskim laureatem stypendium Amerykańskiego Towarzystwa Chirurgicznego im. Profesora Sir Murray Brennana.

Wyróżnienie noszące imię wybitnego amerykańskiego chirurga, wieloletniego kierownika Kliniki Chirurgii w Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center w Nowym Jorku, jest związane z możliwością udziału w najważniejszych wydarzeniach i odbycia wizyty studyjnej w jednym z czołowych ośrodków chirurgii onkologicznej w Stanach Zjednoczonych.

Dzięki otrzymanemu stypendium Profesor będzie gościem honorowym wrześniowego Kongresu American College of Surgeons w Waszyngtonie. W ramach programu odbędzie również wizytę studyjną w Klinice Chirurgii Przewodu Pokarmowego Johns Hopkins University w Baltimore – jednym z najbardziej renomowanych amerykańskich ośrodków specjalizujących się w chirurgii onkologicznej.

Schizofrenia coraz częściej dotyka młodych ludzi. Ekspert ostrzega przed wpływem substancji psychoaktywnych

Średni wiek zachorowania na schizofrenię to zaledwie 17–25 lat. Coraz więcej badań wskazuje również na niepokojący związek między wcześniejszym używaniem substancji psychoaktywnych a rozwojem zaburzeń psychotycznych. 📊

– W ostatnich latach widzimy radykalny przyrost pacjentów ze schizofrenią, którzy wcześniej przyjmowali środki psychoaktywne – podkreśla dr hab. n. med. Paweł Krukow, kierownik Zakładu Neuropsychiatrii Klinicznej Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Lublinie. 🧠
