Centrum Brytyjskie Uniwersytetu Marii Curie Skłodowskiej jest instytucją partnerską British Council dostępną dla wszystkich. Nasza misja to pomoc w nauce języka angielskiego oraz prezentacja życia i edukacji w Wielkiej Brytanii oraz literatury i kultury brytyjskiej. Centrum posiada bogatą i różnorodną kolekcję materiałów w języku angielskim: książki, audiobooki, podręczniki do nauki języka
angielskiego na każdym poziomie, filmy dokumentalne i fabularne oraz literaturę piękną dla dorosłych jak i dla dzieci. W Centrum odbywają się także spotkania Dyskusyjnego Klubu Książki, zajęcia dla dzieci – Storytelling, wykłady, prezentacje oraz warsztaty dla uczniów, studentów, nauczycieli i rodziców. Centrum Brytyjskie UMCS jest Centrum Egzaminacyjnym British Council i oferuje międzynarodowe certyfikaty językowe z języka angielskiego ogólnego – FCE, CAE, CPE , IELTS, biznesowego – BEC i specjalistycznego – TOLES, ILEC, ICFE. British Centre of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University is the British Council partner institution and is open to general public. Lending and information services are offered in the center. All the materials available in the Centre are in English. The stock includes a rich and varied collection of books – fiction and non-fiction, handbooks, audiobooks, films – documentaries and feature films both for grown-ups and children. The materials and services are focused on English for teachers and learners, education in the UK and British literature, life and culture. The Centre holds meetings of the reading group, storytelling for children and organizes lectures, presentations and workshops for students, teachers and parents. British Centre is the British Council Examination Centre and offers a range of international language certificates in general English ( FCE CAE CPE IELTS), business and professional English (BEC, TOLES, ILEC, ICFE ).
