Budownictwo i Architektura publikuje oryginalne prace naukowe z zakresu budownictwa i architektury o charakterze uniwersalnym, jak również artykuły dotyczące problemów lokalnych, specyficznych dla Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej. Jest wydawnictwem Politechniki Lubelskiej działającym przy Wydziale Budownictwa i Architektury. kolejne numery są publikowane w marcu, czerwcu, wrześniu i grudniu. Czasopismo ukazuje się w równoważnych wersjach – papierowej i elektronicznej. Teksty publikowane są w języku angielskim; dopuszczalne jest również zamieszczenie artykułu przetłumaczonego na język polski razem z jego wersją pierwotną. Wszystkie artykuły recenzowane są przez ekspertów w danej dziedzinie według zasad double-blind peer review (podwójna ślepa recenzja). Od założenia czasopismo wspiera program otwartej nauki. Dostęp do publikacji jest bezpłatny (Open Access). Bezpłatny jest także druk publikacji. Czasopismo jest finansowane ze środków własnych WBiA oraz dotacji MNiSW. Czasopismo znajduje się na liście MNiSW: identyfikator 200165 - 20 punktów. W czasopiśmie poruszanymi zagadnieniami są m.in:

Budownictwo i Architektura publishes original scientific articles concerning civil engineering and architecture in general as well as works addressing local problems specific to Central and Eastern Europe. It has been published since 2007 by Lublin University of Technology, with the editorial office seated at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Since 2018, subsequent issues have been coming out in March, June, September and December. The journal has two equivalent versions: paper and electronic. Texts are published in English; the Polish translation of the article can be published alongside the primary version in English. All articles in the journal are peer-reviewed by experts in the field. Since its beginning, the journal has been following the Open Access policy. Access to publications and publishing in the journal are free of charge. The journal is financed by the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Lublin University of Technology as well as with grants from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The journal is recognised by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education: id no. 200165, 20 points. Budownictwo i Architektura explores the following areas:
