6B took a break from the routine and headed into the mountains for a group building trip. A little fresh air, relaxation, and hiking was just what we needed to reset, bond, and get settled in for the year ahead.

World Around School at the Małopolska Researchers' Night!

We are incredibly proud to share that our Grade 5B class had the amazing opportunity to represent World Around Intercultural School at the Małopolska Researchers' Night at the Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences in Kraków!

Our young scientists participated in fascinating experiments and attended an inspiring lecture, demonstrating extraordinary knowledge and curiosity throughout the event. Their enthusiasm and smart questions impressed everyone! 🌟

This outstanding achievement is also thanks to our dedicated Science teachers and our international team coordinator, Ms. Heather Whitefield, whose support and guidance help our students excel every day. Let's give them a huge round of applause! 👏👏👏

At World Around School, we firmly believe that learning through experience is the best way to learn! Hands-on activities like these spark curiosity, build confidence, and show our students that science is everywhere around us. 🧪⚗️

🌍 Integration Day for Grades 1–3! 🦙

What a wonderful day of learning, fun and getting to know each other better! 💛

Our students from Grades 1–3 spent a fantastic day at Wioski Świata, where they discovered how people live in different parts of the world and learned about diverse cultures, traditions and ways of life.

There was also plenty of time for team games and integration activities, helping our students build friendships, cooperate and have lots of fun together!

And the highlight of the day? Meeting the adorable alpacas! 🦙

It was a day full of smiles, new experiences and wonderful memories.
We are so happy we could spend this special time together! 🌍✨

Starting the School Year with a Bang! 🌿🚜

Following our school tradition, students from Grades 4–8 headed to Ranczo Artemidy for an integration trip and a truly memorable start to the new school year!

There was no shortage of action: potato digging, raspberry picking, cow milking and an exciting outdoor field games 🫐🥔🐄🫏🐝

A little mud, lots of laughter, teamwork and plenty of fresh air — the perfect recipe for strengthening friendships and entering the new school year together with energy and enthusiasm!

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead! 🌾🍀

🇮🇹 Meanwhile in Rome…

While our new school year is getting underway, our teacher Karolina Tytko is representing our school at the Fourth International Conference of Scuola Democratica at Sapienza University of Rome.

Yesterday, Karolina presented her paper:

📐 “How Can Mathematics Education Help With The Problem of Social Injustice?”

It’s a wonderful opportunity to share ideas, research and educational practice with an international community of educators and researchers — and we are incredibly proud to see our school represented on such a stage. 🌍

The conference is taking place September 1–4 at Sapienza University of Rome and brings together international scholars and researchers around the theme “Learning for democracy / Democracy for learning.”

🎉 A new school year and an exciting new chapter! ❤️

Today was especially memorable as we welcomed our students into our new premises. After the summer break, it was wonderful to see everyone again — and amazing how much the children have grown and changed in just a few weeks!

We also heard so many kind and encouraging words today that we want to say a heartfelt thank you to our Parents. Your trust, support and appreciation mean more than you know.

A new space, familiar smiles and a year full of possibilities ahead. We can’t wait to see what this journey brings!

🎓 Knowledge, competence, and experience – investing in student safety

Modern schools face challenges that require specialist knowledge and continuous development. One of the most serious threats facing youth today is cyberbullying.

To address this, our teaching staff participated in a specialist training session focused on recognizing, preventing, and effectively responding to online violence. The workshop was led by experts Katarzyna Kudyba and Marta Zaborska from the Kraków-based Centrum Szkoleń Profilaktycznych EDUKATOR
The session provided practical tools for everyday work with students, focusing on:

Recognizing various forms of cyberbullying

Responding effectively in crisis situations

Supporting victims of online violence

Preventive measures and fostering responsible digital habits

Safety does not end at the school gate. The digital world is an integral part of young people's lives, making it our responsibility to understand its mechanisms and navigate its challenges.

We sincerely thank Katarzyna Kudyba, Marta Zaborska, and the EDUKATOR Centre for such an inspiring and valuable session. 💙

📚✨We’re starting the new school year with learning and growth!

A new school year means new challenges, new ideas and… new opportunities for development! 💙 That’s why, at the very beginning of the school year, our school hosted a training session on “Working with Gifted Students”, organized by the Małopolskie Centrum Doskonalenia Nauczycieli (MCDN) in Kraków as part of the EU-funded project “Edukacja z empatią” being implemented at our school.

During the training, teachers expanded their knowledge and explored ways to support gifted students, develop their potential and adapt teaching methods to their individual needs. 🌱🧠

Because we train and develop ourselves for our children ❤️ — so that we can support their growth, talents, passions and curiosity about the world even better.

🎓 We’re starting the new school year with energy, openness and a commitment to continuous professional development!

We’re thrilled to share the final exam results for our Year 8 students.

What an outstanding achievement this is. Congratulations to every student for the commitment, effort, and resilience you have shown throughout the year. Your results are a reflection of all the work you have put in, and we are incredibly proud of you.

Our average scores are:
📖 Polish – 81%
➗ Mathematics – 87%
🇬🇧 English – 97%

These results sit comfortably above the averages published by the Regional Examination Board:
📍 Kraków: 75% | 71% | 85%
📍 Małopolska Region: 69% | 61% | 75%
📍 Poland: 65% | 55% | 73%

Taken together, the average across all three subjects was 88.33%, a truly remarkable result.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to our parents for their encouragement and trust, and to our teachers for their dedication, guidance, and unwavering support.

While exam results are important, they are only one part of what makes each student special. Curiosity, compassion, friendship, creativity, confidence, and ambition are just as valuable, and we look forward to seeing all that you will achieve in the future.

Congratulations once again, Year 8. We wish you every success as you take your next steps in education. Good luck!
