Some of the most important things that happen at Da Vinci's don't happen in a classroom.
Our DP1 students recently took the stage to present to younger classes - from Grade 0 through to Year 5 - about the DKMS Foundation and why registering as a bone marrow donor can literally save a life. They explained the science, the process, and the human reality behind it: that somewhere, right now, there is a patient waiting for a donor match that only one person in the world can provide.
And having educated their peers, they didn't stop there. They're now inviting the entire Da Vinci's community - and beyond - to register:
📅 30 May — School picnic, open to students and parents who'd like to register as donors
📅 1 June — Open to everyone in Kraków
This is CAS in action - the IB Diploma's Creativity, Activity, Service component, which asks students not just to learn about the world's challenges, but to respond to them. Our DP1 students responded. Loudly.
