Huge congratulations, Aashraya! 🎉 We’re incredibly proud of you — such a well-deserved achievement. Keep shining!
We are honored to announce that our student, Aashraya, has been awarded the prestigious Złoty Indeks distinction!
Starting this year, Złoty Indeks distinction is granted to students who demonstrate outstanding achievements in academic olympiads. It recognizes not only exceptional competition results, but also consistent dedication, engagement, and excellence in everyday learning.
Receiving Złoty Indeks provides preferential learning conditions at Da Vinci’s International High School, opening the door to further academic development at the highest level.
This is part of our ongoing effort to recognize and support truly exceptional students, and to create an environment where talent, hard work, and ambition are meaningfully rewarded.
Congratulations, Aashraya — we are incredibly proud!

What happens when a High School student teaches a Primary lesson?📚
Our Year 5 students learned about mythology — from Wiktor, a Year 1 student at Da Vinci's High School. Wiktor had just completed a personal project on the subject and, with the support of his teacher, brought it into the Primary classroom.
For our Year 5 students: a fresh perspective and a genuine expert. For Wiktor: a chance to deepen his understanding by teaching it to others.
This kind of cross-level, peer-to-peer learning is not accidental at Da Vinci's. It's what happens when you build a school community around inquiry, communication, and genuine care — the values at the heart of the IB Learner Profile.

Last Friday, our Grade 4 learners didn't just study a topic — they owned it. 🏛️
Students curated their very own museum from the ground up: designing exhibitions, leading guided tours, managing the museum store, and presenting the stories behind their personal artifacts to real visitors.
This is the IB PYP in action.
The exhibition wasn't just a display. It was evidence of genuine student agency — one of the cornerstones of IB education. To pull it off, students drew on:
→ Thinking Skills — translating a professional museum concept into a real classroom experience
→ Research — uncovering the meaning behind objects and presenting their findings to an audience
→ Communication — articulating personal stories with clarity and confidence
When children take full ownership of their learning, something shifts. They stop performing for a grade. They start creating for a purpose.
Bravo to our Grade 4 curators. 👏

🔋🎬 Grade 8 in Action – Community Project 🎬🔋
This school year, our Grade 8 students are leading their IB MYP Community Project by participating in the city-wide initiative “Cinema for Batteries”, organized by MPO Kraków.
This is not a one-day event – it is an ongoing effort. Since January, battery collection has been running at our school, while students actively raise awareness about responsible waste disposal. Used batteries are hazardous waste and should never end up in regular bins.
📍 Every battery brought to school represents a conscious choice and a real environmental impact.
🎟️ While the program rewards schools with cinema tickets, the true outcome goes far beyond that – students experience responsibility, agency, and real-world impact.
Thank you to everyone who has already contributed. The collection is still ongoing 💚

We are incredibly proud of Aashraya from Grade 8, who yesterday took part in the wojewódzki (final) stage of the Małopolski English Competition — one of the most demanding and prestigious competitions recognised on the school certificate.
Reaching this stage is already a remarkable achievement. It requires not only exceptional language proficiency, but also analytical thinking, confidence and consistency over multiple stages of qualification.
Yesterday, our entire community was keeping fingers crossed 🤞 and we are now eagerly awaiting the results.
Aashraya consistently achieves outstanding academic results and, as the Head of Primary School Student Council, she also plays an important leadership role within our community. Her dedication, responsibility and ambition truly reflect the IB Learner Profile in action.
We are proud to support students who aim high, take on ambitious challenges and grow beyond the classroom 🌍
Well done, Aashraya — we are cheering for you every step of the way 👏✨

🌦️🎨 Where science meets creativity — learning comes to life
As part of our Science & Art collaboration, Grade 4 students explored the world of weather through inquiry, imagination, and hands-on learning.
Working across subjects, students combined scientific understanding with artistic expression, creating detailed 3D weather dioramas that brought natural phenomena to life — from tornadoes and hurricanes to snowstorms, thunderstorms, and rainbows.
This interdisciplinary project encouraged students to:
🔍 ask questions and investigate real-world phenomena
🎨 express understanding through creative forms
🤝 collaborate, communicate, and think critically
🌍 make meaningful connections between subjects
The result? Learning that is visible, tangible, and deeply engaging — exactly how meaningful education should look.
Projects will be displayed in the classroom space and continue to inspire curiosity and discussion 🌪️☁️✨
